"We stopped for breakfast at the hotel on our way to Cairnryan for the ferry. The breakfast consisted of typical Scottish food and was well-cooked. The hotel staff were very accommodating and provided a pleasant experience. It's important to note that there is no taxi service available on Sunday mornings before 8:00 a.m., so if you have an early ferry, you'll need a car to get there. However, there is a bus service later in the morning that can take you to the port area, which is about a 15-minute journey by bus."

We were staying on a DB&B basis and were surprised at the quality of the dinner. The meal was very nice, well presented and the staff were very attentive throughout.

This is a grand old dining room with a good old fashioned menu and very helpful waiting staff. Nothing modern here but then a bit of history with an old fashioned menu makes a nice change from plastic modern reality

Had 3 course evening meal included in stay price plenty of choice and just right amount. We went for for course had some cheese and crackers to finish off with (had some wine left to finish). Full scottish breakfast next morning was cooked to perfection

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and was surprised to find that it was not very busy. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The total cost for two courses without drinks for two people was £42, and the drinks were reasonably priced. I would recommend trying this restaurant.
