"Such a great place. I visit this place every morning, barring Tuesday when they are closed, for coffee and a bite to eat. Staff are great and if you are seen to be making even the tinyiest effort in Spanish they really appreciate it. It's full of local people and has a buzz about it any time of day. Our accomodation sits half way down the hill that it sits on top of and a cana of beer at the end of a steep walk is absolutley incredible. the tapas at lunch time are all great and fresh and for the first time we ate in the 1st floor restaurant in the evening. It's fairly newly refurbished and the huge windows open to give breathtaking views down the mountain the the sea. All of the food is authentic and generous, but one of my favourites remain the chicken croquettes an the very simple pan con tomate in the mornings. you will not find reductions or sous vide techniques here and it's all the better for it. On Thursday nights from 2000 the place is rocking. They offer live music and drink and a tapa for 1E, 1.50E or 1.80E, depending on whether it's a small beer, bottle of soft drink or tinto verano. It's a free for all at the bar so get your elbows out but everyone is in great spirits. A great place that is always full of authentic Spanish life."

only one week spent in mijas and found this great bar at the rande of the city, el nino’s. friendly and helpful staff, good eating and wein, all to cheap trips. it would be highly recommended.

Hemos comido super bien, la sooa de marisco absolutamente espectacular con un sabor rquisimo y un monton de gambas, almejas y trozos de pescado. El trato muy agradable y el precio sin pasarse. Veniamos con la recomendación de un familiar pero es para volver y recomendar.

Local con solera y fuera de los lugares típicos de Mijas, a las afueras, con gente auténtica, raciones enormes, y gente que lo atiende con ganas. Recomendable, lo encontrarás lleno seguramente. Para comer en salón mejor reservar, nosotros comimos unas raciones cómodamente en la barra con todo el bullicio.
