The food is simple but nice. The service is fast. The staff is friendly. The pricing is good. This place is always full and for a reason. For me a visit is a must when I vacation in Nice.

The restaurant is set in a small square in front of a nice church, so the setting is very picturesque. The food is good, especially the pizzas, but not spectacular. The local rose' wine is good

The Gesu is a good reliable Vieux Nice stalwart. The meals are good the starters are excellent. We found that our ravioli mains were good,but far too large. Puddings are excellent.Staff are superb. I Recommend this place. View menu

Must have been there 50 times in the last 30 years and never have I been disappointed. Food is excellent, service fast and friendly (the historical "Duo" of waiters is now gone, but the owners do a wonderful job at attending their clients, no matter how busy the place is).

This place was horrible!!!! The wine had a layer of water on top and even the couple beside us sent it back as it was watered down!!! A-Z tourist trap! Worst bread I have ever had in my life and the cheese on the pizza was disgusting!Don't be fooled by the cute location, STAY AWAY!!

Took us some time to find it but well worth it. It was very busy on our arrival and we wanted a table outside. Staff were very helpful, advised it would be 20 minuets. for a table outside, so we went inside to have drink but our table was ready within a few minuets. Most of us had the Pizza which was the best ever. wine was good also. Staff very friendly. Lovely setting. Would definitely eat their again. View menu

We had diner and really enjoyed. The traditional food is good, tasty, the portions are huge! Skip the first dish, unless you are a really big eater or you plan to take away! Pasta, eggplants, meat, everything is good, even the house wine. Plus, you are with the local people, not with tourists. It is a simple and casual restaurant with friendly and good staff. There is a room inside quiet small and therefore a bit noisy; so, for those who prefer to be quiet, the covered and closed terasse is ideal. Meals are also served outdoors, of course. Prices are very reasonable.

Very welcoming girl putting us on a waiting list (the place is very crowded). She was also friendly with our kids and gave them coloring books and crayons while waiting for food. The pizza was good. But from there on I was disappointed: the pasta was less than average with lack of real taste, the local soup also missed flavor other than the excessive basil. And at the top of that the waiter was not friendly at all: we asked him if they serve french fries , the answer was : "you can make fries at home or at a fast food place"; we almost felt guilty for the insult we made but in fact one must not be a connaisseur while ordering food. Maybe this changed the mood of the dinner as well.

Tiny restaurant in the old part of Nice. One should expect a traditional french cuisine, while what we got was a mix of uncertain italian and french dishes, served with a basic and surely not inviting presentation.We opted for two "viande venetien", meat dish which we received cold and in less than 5 minutes since our order. Whilst usually i like to receive my food quickly, this clearly stated that the dish was pre-cooked or frozen, and heaten up not even properly, as everything was cold and wet.Pasta used as a side for the meat was instead overcooked and tasteless.The sole plus ws that the restaurant is open till late, in case of a post-poned dinner.There are surely plenty of better options...
