"Ich kann die guten Bewertungen einfach nicht nachvollziehen. Keine schöne Atmosphäre, Bedienung unterer Durchschnitt, wenn auch freundlich und das Essen ist wirklich alles andere als gut. Der Wein wurde vergessen zu bringen, der Aperitif kam nicht wie bestellt. Die Antipasto Speciale war u. a. mit frittierten Mini Frikadellen, die alles waren, aber nicht frisch. Die Hauptgerichte waren allesamt unbefriedigend. Das Rinderfilet zäh, die Sauce versalzen. Das Schwein ebenfalls zäh. Der Fisch nicht genießbar und die Pasta schmeckte wie vom Vortag. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, was wohl daran liegt, dass es keine Alternative in der Gegend gibt. Wirklich schade, da dieser Stadtteil einen guten Italiener wirklich gebrauchen könnte."

Seit langem wieder bei Angelo gewesen und sind positiv überrascht.Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Desserts alles top.Ausreichende Portionen für vernünftige Preise.Extra Tafel nicht zu verachten.Empfohlene Wein passen und sind auch lecker.Netter und zuvorkommender Service.

Seit längerer Zeit wieder bei Angelo einen Tisch reserviert und absolut positiv überrascht gewesen.Vorspeisen , Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch alles Topf und ausreichende Portionen für gute Preise. Extra tafel nicht zu verachten.Empfohlene Weibe auch sehr lecker und netter und zuvorkommendender Service.Empfehlenswert.

Wonderful family-run restaurant offering authentic Italian cuisine. The fact that it’s been a Hamburg favorite for over 40 years speaks to its great food and service. Aside from ourselves, it’s very obvious most guests are also longtime regulars. Angelo’s set menu along with new weekly “specials” offer a fantastic number of dining choices.

Wir kennen dies Restaurant über 30 Jahre. Die Speisen, die Getränke, das Personal, der Service, alles stimmt!. Wir wurden nie enttäuscht. Abwechselungsreiche Speisekarte, alles köstlich! Man fühlt sich wohl. Auch wenn das Restaurant voll ist, die Bedienung bleibt immer freundlich unf aufmerksam.Es gibt nicht viele Restaurants mit dieser Klasse!

Went to this Italian and ordered our drinks, starters and main course. We got the drinks and the starters came, followed by the main course within 2 minutes. I was annoyed since I like to eat hot, but I also like to eat my starter before the main course. I asked if this was McDonalds or if they are in a rush. The waiter starred at me and left. The food was very blend and no spices were used. The Calzone was boring and tasteless. Will never use again.

Hamburg is not a place that will stay in nice memory to me, probably because of hotel. But, when we speak about Angelo, this is different. The interior is nice, service is very good, food is tasty. I took some pasta and it was great. We had very nice service, because the waiter was from Bosnia and we felt like home. I am not sure if he is still working there, but if he is, maybe his boss will see him on the photos and give him double salary, because this guy deserves that. His kindness and hospitality made us stay twice long and spend double amount of money. In two words excellent place. I recommend.
