"We booked a table for 18 people for a friend 's birthday. Our table was booked for 7pm. We had pre ordered. The food was not served until 9.30. During that time we were not once asked if we wanted a drink and did not have a waitor approach our table. When the food finally came out it came out staggered and wrong. Most of the food was cold. My food was missing. I told the manager and he said 'do you want me to ask the chef to make it or do you just want to leave it? ' We tried to speak to management about the issues however they had a 'tough luck ' attitude. They refused to offer any form of apology. They were rude even argumentative. The food was average the service was absolutely SHOCKING. There are fat better places to eat in Horwich. I would swerve this place at all costs."

I came for lunch just with my dog. The staff are so nice and friendly it made us feel really welcome. The new chef cooked us a panini which was crammed with meat and cheese. Thanks guys

A fantastic restaurant. The food is excellent, good prices and the service is at an incredibly high standard. I would recommend The Rivington to anyone I know. The Poretti is served perfectly, too. What a pint.

First time at this restaurant since it moved. Very impressed with food and service. Menu has good choices. All food arrived hot and was of good quality. The portion sizes were also good value for money. Based on our experience would certainly recomend.

Absolute shocker! Terrible service, rude staff and frozen food! Staff were unwilling take responsibility for mistakes that could have easily been rectified with the food but instead chose to be argumentative and intimidating. Definitely would not recommend!

Called in for early dinner en route to the football (Chorley FC). Warm and friendly welcome. Extensive menu. Food was freshly prepared and meat cooked to our personal preference with good attention to detail. Excellent value for money. Will return when next in the area.
