"The ambience? Well, the worn wood cladding look looked not so much ethnically and culturally Italian “distressed” , as just plain scruffy. The food? My salad was lettuce mega heavy. The other ingredients, as advertised, were there (probably) if one really looked for them. In particular the salmon extra (an additional £4 as I remember) was certainly not value for money. Overall, although fairly tasty, the meal seemed a lot for what it was. My desert wasn’t brilliant either, three small hard chocolate biscuit balls that defied the use of cutlery.. The service? Excellent. The staff, not to mention the customers, deserve better...."

comfortable location in john lewis with adjacent toikets. spacious with friendly and efficient service. we only had a simple pizza to share, which was delicious and well cooked. fairer value and a good venue and offer

great service, but definitiw not eat Italian, it is rare to find Italian food in london when this restaurant depends on Italian customers, maximum survival is zero. with proper understanding in management can be much better.

The restaurant was not busy and we were seated straightaway but we were not asked if we would like to order drinks at that time and then it was something like half an hour before anyone came to the table and we were able to order drinks. The pizza was really good so I would go back for one of those!

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
