"My German girlfriend and I visited here to have breakfast it's the first time we've been here in a couple of years. We ordered a few items from the regular breakfast menu, which were prepared and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The...food was okay, though condiments are provided in their singleserve packaging plastic sachet each of mustard, butter, and jam it would be nicer if they were better presented in small dishes or the like it just makes the place seem cheap... ...as does the unfriendly waitress who served us. Really, how difficult is it to try and seem at least a little bit welcoming and pleasant when waiting on diners? Our waitress was cold and unfriendly, and seemed unable to operate the card payment facilities correctly while we were trying to pay, she couldn't get my Mastercard to work, then declined to try my other credit card I was carrying also a MC, then took four attempts to get my GF's German bankcard to work. No apology for the wait or hassle. The visit would have been okay apart from the lacklustre service several local friends have reported similarly poor experiences here, so we won't be burdening 'Sax' with our business again"

Sax is a good place to try food and beer for good prices, most of clients are students, so this is why the prices are good

Such a great place! We've had here some of the best food in Erlangen and the servers have been very helpful to us, as I don't speak any German. I'm very sad we didn't discover it earlier in our trip.

Best Spätzle! Location and food are very nice! Also the waiters do their best. Sadly once a woman, who apparently was the boss or the owner, treated us bad when we asked her a question about the menu. That made us hesitant to come back again. They should take care of their service if they want clients to come back.

The worst service I 've ever got in Germany. Drinks all good, but we 've waited for 1.5 hours just to realize that our meals were not being cooked. Including a pair of Wienerle mit Pommes for our kids, that takes around 5 mins to cook. The waitress didn 't help, except for Keine Ahnung and keeping us wait even longer.

I visited Sax while my husband watched our daughter in the Kinderklink. It was a nice afternoon so all of the outside tables were full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. My waiter was friendly and my glass of wine and pasta arrived in...a timely manner. They also serve breakfast, which I am hoping to try one morning

I visited this space for tea, with two people that were almost native fluent in german. The location is nice, the space is pleasant and the music at the exact volume to be enjoyed without prevent conversation. I asked for a tea that we didn't...understand that had two options. When the waiter detected that we were not understanding, grabed the menu from my wife's hands and in a very rude and loud tone started to explain the available options. I work in tourism, and this behaviour is not accepted at all, even in Germany

I really wanted a coffee and something small to eat for breakfast. I looked at the menu and decided to get a croissant with butter and jam and I really wanted a coffee, so I got the Kaffee XXL. The restaurant was quiet when I...went in, so the service was really quick and the waiter was really nice and answered my questions I tried to talk in my best German. The croissant and coffee were really nice and I'm hoping to go back the next time I'm in Erlangen and I hope to try out some more food here. I also had time to sit and relax, I got to read my book and also watch what was going on outside as I was sitting by a window, it is a pretty chill place
