"Beautiful location and would be stunning in the sunshine but alas tipping down tonight. A sound menu with lots of choice awaits. The pea soup was deemed to be excellent as were my oysters however the flesh had been damaged a little when opening. The ham hock was definitely on the crispier side of crispy. My silver bream was cooked well but would have benefited with a little more love. It came to the table quite dry looking , devoid of salt and no crisp skin. The lemon posset was nice and tart. Service was charming if a little hap hazard. Our wine, then bread and then starters were all given first to another table. We drank an excellent red from Georgia which I wholeheartedly recommend. A nice evening all in all."

Could not have wished for a better place to stay on a sunny bank holiday. The food, drinks, atmosphere, room and staff could not have been faulted. The best steak I have ever had.

A chic/cool pub restaurant with rooms. Attention to detail was first rate as was the food. Staff really friendly and efficient. The setting is perfect. Have already recommended you to friends!

We had booked the restaurant for dinner having read of this as a great place to stay with good food. We were not let down. I had the baked Cromer crab with ginger, coriander and chilli as a starter, which was truly magical, and one...

We had a superb Sunday lunch excellent meal (asparagus and pea shoots, and mushroom pate to start with; followed by burger and sole); great service; and comfortable and charming venue by the river. Very dog friendly. A perfect place for a Sunday lunch!

Nice welcome and shown promptly to table in dark upstairs dining room but then had to wait over 15 minutes to order a drink. Bar staff were efficient and friendly once order received. Waiting staff were stretched. Smoked salmon starter was tasty but the generous...

Everything about my stay was excellent. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view from the room, down the stream, was delightful. Arriving a little before dinner time, I enjoyed a drink in the afternoon sunshine on the banks of the river....

Beautiful pub with such a lovely setting for a spring day! Great welcome and service throughout. I had a goats cheese salad, which was lovely and fresh, with beautifully cooked asparagus and fresh peas. However, the goats cheese was virtually non existent which was disappointing....

We visited here on a rainy Saturday evening for diner. The restaurant is set in a beautiful location, with a lovely garden overlooking the river. Inside is very cosy with different areas to eat, all dog friendly. We were sat upstairs at a table overlooking the garden which was a lovely touch, as I had requested an outside table if the weather had been nice. Despite being very busy, the service was excellent. We all ordered different starters and main courses and they were all outstanding. Well cooked and presented. We will definitely return in the future.
