North Norfolk is famed for its stunning coastline, charming villages, and seafood, particularly Cromer crabs, often enjoyed in local eateries or on the scenic beaches.

"Overall a lovely Birthday meal in a beautiful pub. Service was slower than expected and it was very hot sitting under the glass roof outside area. But saying that the food was lovely, great choice for the children and great to have an outside play area. The dessert table was so good. Loved the whole layout, decor and ambience of the pub. Bar staff were good. Finished off our meal with a drink in the games room. Will definitely be back and would love to stay one day!"

"We had a wonderful meal last night. Opted for the taster menu and they were prepay to amend the choice slightly to cater for personal likes/dislikes. Staff were lovely, knowledgeable, friendly and super efficient. Absolutely nothing to point fault at BRILLIANT"

"Absolutely delicious meal. The baked coconut and chilli Cromer crab starter was soooo good! Definitely recommend that one! Main meals were excellent and the vegetable sides accompanying were really really lovely too! We ate here for our tenth-anniversary meal with our two small children while camping locally for the weekend. There is no children's menu, but they can do fish goujons with chips, or various other options adapted from the adults' menu. The quality of the kids meals was great, although my two are going through a fussy stage so didn't eat much unfortunately. There was no good reason for this though, because my husband and I tried their meals and it was very good. We'd definitely return next time we're in the area!"

"Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at The Kitchen with a friend and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, promptly seating us and taking our order. Our delicious double shot lattes arrived quickly, followed by our freshly cooked breakfast. We chose "The Small Breakfast" which was both hearty and well-priced at only £6.50. The restaurant's friendliness, service, quality, pricing, and location all exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning soon."

"what a pub. if you dog walkers for a local ale, they have it. if they are looking for local seafood at a reasonable price they have it. If their gin lovers are looking for a new bottle, they have to choose 105. by far the best pub in the opposite. my suggestion to the owner. move it 100 miles from north norfolk and people pay 5x the amount to eat and drink here."

"We could not fault our visit on the Friday night, the food was great and arrived sooner than expected, the staff were attentive and friendly especially the blond lady behind the bar. Sadly on the Saturday evening due to who we can only assume to...be the owner being front of house our visit was very different! We were asked by one of the other members of staff to place our order at so they could squeeze it in before a booking at which we did although the presumed owner wasn't keen to take the order as just before we ordered some people clearly friends and family turned and she was more interested in getting outside to personally take their order. So we waited over mins for an order that would take no more than mins to cook, and to our surprise the family/friends got their food with still no sign of ours! When my husband questioned where our food was he was told that she (presumed owner) had accidentally put our order at the wrong end of queue! Amazingly it then turned up within mins and I have to say was very tasty! It seems she would rather give priority to people not paying full than customers that are. Such a same as this could be a really nice place to eat even with the limited menu they have at moment."

"Paid 24 pounds for a beef roast Which to be fair was about right For a roast But found one carrot and no green veg was poor admittedly, there were root vegetables. But needed to top up with peas and Broccoli just to top the plate up which was a fiver extra So 29 pounds I found to be Not value for money, told the member of staff when paying. Only to be told yes, we are aware of this, but the owner and Chef Not interested."

"The Best Restaurant in Blakeney. Truly! Been coming here for a several years now and I’m truly astounded at how phenomenal the food is every single time! Always great service and great menu, too. I just had a meal that reminded me of the very first time I visited and it knocked my socks off just like it did back then! It always makes my stay in Blakeney feel complete and thoroughly spoiled. Edit: just got back from another dinner here 2 days later and they did it again! Another phenomenal meal! Recommended it to another couple we met today, too, and they said they thoroughly enjoyed it as well."

"5 stars for eating 3 stars for service! disclaimer we were a big party of 11 and the smaller tables seemed better service I used the online service to a week and 2 days before the date we wanted to eat, I got a call back the next day and although the time requested could 't be accommodated they are offered 19,45 (only 45 minutes later than desired) I was really happy with the booking service. come to the night of the meal around 19.09 I got a phone call informed me that our table 't be ready to 8 clock again no problem I'm glad that the restaurant warned me our table 't ready on time is restaurant is nicely well spaced and beautifully decorated, we came to 20.00 and were immediately taken about 20.20 our drink order and then we were at least asking poppadome that we were the net came quite fast after we finished the appetizers and improved the service, although nothing seemed to come to some of us were with rice and nan and no pornstars and the others had the pornstars and no sides, but honestly eating was worth waiting! I would recommend this restaurant throughout the day on smaller party's as they were well fed and in an hour, for big tables I would say go, but before order we told the restaurant that we were not so happy with the service and they have looked after us accordingly I do not want this to be seen as a negative review, but an honest with a happy party and 11 happy customers that would eat there again because I had a happy party"

"We happened to eat here last night during the busy Viking festival, as many places were fully booked. We were lucky to walk in and find a table for four. The food was fantastic, especially the meat. My husband and I enjoyed the tasty, lean, and moist pork. Our friends tried the beef and turkey, and were equally impressed. The portion sizes were generous and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The gravy was delicious. Despite being a small establishment, the atmosphere was cozy. We will definitely return next time we are in Sheringham. It was also great value for money."

"My partner and I went to this restaurant for coffee in the morning and were pleasantly surprised by the gluten-free options available. Their new menu offers over 50% gluten-free choices, including a full English breakfast. We were so impressed that we decided to make a lunch reservation. All three specials also had gluten-free options, so I ended up choosing the Mediterranean vegetable and mushroom toasted sandwich. My partner chose the fish finger sandwich. Both dishes were well presented with a side salad and were delicious. We highly recommend checking this place out."

"beautiful atmosphere and good food. the two of us raised themselves without a booking on a Sunday night and gave one table. each of us had a starter (tuck bein croquettes and rakete salat, which is actually a side, not a starter) and a main (burger and a bark on Sunday roast) and made very full, not in the position to finish eating. the personal was friendly and attentive. the food needed a reasonable time to not arrive too long, not surprisingly fast. 4/5 and not 5/5, because while eating was good, there is room for improvement my yorkshire pudding was too dry and carrots could be cooked better (taste could be better; there were raw in the carrots;) the meat was delicious. However, after saying that for a pub, food quality was quite large, especially in value-money conditions, we only paid over £50 overall for the meal (including 2 half pints of apple wine, but without tip.) was another point that the menu could be a bit more diverse. the pub is dog-friendly (also has a water bowl at the bar) and has an amazing real kamin that does much for the feeling from inside. overall, this pub would recommend easy to friends with the above caves."

"We had a lovely meal here. Spiced belly pork with a tabbouleh salad and ham egg and chips. Both meals delicious. The crispy hens egg was gorgeous a soft boiled egg with a coating Waiter friendly and obliging. The food is quality over quantity but enough to satisfy, such delicious flavours and value for the type of food served. The meals are cooked to order so don 't expect 'fast food '. The desserts were sundaes of combinations we 'd not come across before and were lovely. Would love to go there again on our next visit to Cromer."

"Can't thank this establishment and staff enough. They opened up on a Monday, when their usually shut, to hold a wake for a very dear friend of us all. We were a lot more than they expected, and we all stayed a lot longer, too. They kept the food coming, which they also donated, as he was a long-term customer, what wonderful wonderful people. Thank you so much. Xx"

"We have been today as a party of 7 for afternoon tea. The food and presentation was delightful. Very well priced and good value and the setting is nice and airy and clean. My only criticisms are the young staff, they could benefit with a bit of customer service training. Although the afternoon tea comes with unlimited tea/coffee, not once did anyone ask us if we needed anything, we had to repeatedly ask for a coffee refill and often met with blank stares. (Rabbits in headlights come to mind). The other issue was the vegetarian afternoon tea contained a tuna fish sandwich. When we did manage to attract a waitresses attention and she went to check with the Chef. she then came back to tell us the chef thought Tuna fish was vegetarian (again maybe some training on vegetarianism for the chef may be needed). They did however replace the whole plate with the correct veggie options and very kindly removed it from the bill. On a whole a lovely afternoon just a bit more staff training to earn those 5 stars."

"Have been wanting to go here for a while and finally got the time to book and go. Wow it did not disappoint. The staff and venue were very welcoming. It felt warm and homely in the bar and a great set up for dogs... especially with their doggie dinners! Didn't have a dog but if I had one this would be my go to place! We sat in the restaurant area where the carvery set up is and it was beautifully decorated. A little cramped with all the tables but it worked. The food options were plentiful and for someone who's fussy I had plenty of options. The food tasted amazing also and already we can't wait to go back. The only downside is my partner said it got really loud and couldn't hear me well as the evening went on and it got busier. It felt like the room echoed. There was a kid next to us using the radiator as a road for its toy car and a birthday party on the table on the other side of us with kids, so pretty loud. And the other thing is the car park is a bit tight but nothing they can do about that of course. All in all looking forward to going back asap!"

"Had lunch here yesterday with my wife and daughter. We had a litle wait to be served, but it was really busy. We were made very welcome and we were promptly served with our drinks. The food when it came was on piping hot plates and it was freshly cooked. The daughter and I had the all day breakfast. The sausages were made at the local butchers and the bacon was lean and very nice. The beans were quality beans not the bulk buy catering ones. There was lashings of toast from locally produced loaves with a plentiful supply of butter. All in all very good. My wife had the chicken and leek pudding. Nice suet pastry with plenty of filling and steaming hot chips. All very good value for money. The waitress was extremely pleasant and helpfull and the chef was very chatty as well."

"I booked here after searching for dog friendly, gluten free friendly and good food. Focussing on the good stuff, booking confirmed both dogs and GF accommodated. Very friendly on arrival. Very lovely building and interior. The dog friendly area was lovely. On the menu dishes were identified with GFA which meant ‘Gluten Free or Adaptable’ with a good choice. We ordered 3 roast dinners. My GFA beef and Yorkshire pudding arrived without the Yorkshire. After checking it transpires that to meet GFA the Yorkshire pudding was simply removed. No other option. I was told I could have the YP with gluten if I wanted it… When we ordered desserts I checked first confirmed that the GFA fruit fool and crumble was in face just the fruit fool. When we shared our reasonable feedback about the interpretation of GFA, the lady listened but made no comment or acknowledgement. She didn’t actually seem concerned either way although friendly enough. The meals themselves were reasonable, the meat good quality. The gravy was lovely. Overall I thought the food was expensive for a pleasant enough but not fabulous Sunday roast. I would not return as a GF diner. It seems like a small thing but GF adaption being equal to just leaving out parts of the dish that have gluten in them doesn’t feel very welcoming. Do go there for pleasant regular food, a lovely setting, (overall) friendly staff and dog friendly indoor eating. I have marked down on value for money, and for the GFA experience. Take away the GF stuff and it’s 4 stars."
