The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance and the staff are exceptional. The food is truly exceptional and could easily be compared to a Michelin-starred establishment. It is a wonderful addition to our local area.

We come to Shakey most weekends and can honestly say it never disappoints, the food and the staff are amazing and we are so lucky to have such a fab local on our doorstep! We would highly recommend this pub to everyone

Absolutely outstanding food...tried different meals all to exceptionally high standards.... plenty for you're money, very filling, friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced considering how much you get... This is definitely my favourite pub in this area by far.....will always be back.

We have been visiting the Shakespeare for about a year now as we moved to Hedon in 2021. The pub is a lovely olde world pub and the food is lovely, all fresh produce and cooked to order. All the staff are very friendly. There is a nice beer garden to enjoy when the weather is good. I would highly recommend the Shakespeare.

Visited with a group of friends on Sunday for Christmas dinner. Food and service were fabulous. There were eight of us in total and all the main meals arrived together piping hot. The turkey was cooked to perfection as were all the trimmings and veggies. I had the Belgian Chocolate truffle for dessert which was divine! Thanks to Kate, Graham and all The Shakey Crew. I have been coming to this charming pub as my local for more than a year now. My sister, niece, and I stopped by today for a meal and had a fantastic experience - the food was delicious. The beer garden is lovely and we always enjoy stopping here during our walks. The staff is very friendly and we always have engaging conversations during our visits. I am planning to go back tomorrow with my husband and some friends for lunch. I highly recommend this place for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We stopped off at the Shakespeare Inn on the way back from the hospital. Its been a while since we have been and its undergone a total refurbishment. The outside area is just loverly with lights, cover and comfy seating. We stayed inside as it was cooler for our dog the pub is dog friendly . We ordered 3 mains chicken tika, chicken kebab and hallumi salad. All dishes were fresh, well cooked with good quality ingredients, the staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommended we will definitely be back.

I recently ordered a buffet from Shakespeare for my birthday celebration and it was absolutely outstanding! The food was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. Kate was able to customize the catering to fit my preferences, and the selection she provided was fantastic. From grazing plates to frittata, cheeses, assorted sausage rolls, ham and cheese croissants, vegetarian options, and a fresh fruit platter, everything was homemade and served on lovely platters. The quality of the food far exceeded my expectations, especially considering the reasonable price. I highly recommend Shakespeare for any special event or celebration! View menu
