"Took me some time to decide should i make review of this place or no,so here it is...make sure you have plenty of time cause its a 4 hours dinner....Before the dinner started chef came out introduced himself and asked about food allergies and tolerance, very nice.kind and professional. There were 7 courses,3 or 4 were plus from the house,a small gesture on a plate.Staff was friendly and relaxed, maybe to relaxed.Food started to arrive, snacks kind of ravioli 4 flavors,we did not found difference i this four flavors,it was dry and starchy.Smoked eel with Stilton cheese was very good. Then pretentious dish served in a imitation of a small aquarium, floor of cold rocks and on top, smoked fish file, chocolate sticks and eggplant chips.Fish was over smoked ,chips way too salty and chocolate why chocolate????I said that salt was too strong and got the answer that chocolate is there to balance the flavors.....ok.......after that we had pork file, beef file, cod fish....all the meats and the fish were perfect, aged meat, tender, tasty, perfectly cooked, fish fresh and perfectly cooked. On other hand side courses from this dishes were poor, again chocolate combinations ( i love chocolate) but that was to much, one sidedish was literally raw onion cut in half moon shape and arranged on dish.....Not impressed by non of this dishes and we are talking about Michelin star restaurant here. The thing that did impressed me was dessert. We were asked if we would like a course of home made cheese plate or predessert, when we asked what it is predessert the waiter refused to tell us even after second time we asked...we ended with one predessert and one cheese plate.Cheese was to acid for my flavor ,as i was told they use lemon for rennet, predessert was combination of chocolate and different fruit couils.Dessert was wonderful crumbled sage sponge cake, with pear ice cream very nice combination. We were offered with homemade praline which were amazing. So is it worth it,some dishes as i said were great but thats just a part of dish and a place of that rang can not afford partly done dish,my opinion is no its not worth of 140 euro per person.Still pastry chef is a bright star of this place"

Comparably small restaurant with great staff and attention to detail. Very attentive to dietary requirements. Highly recommend to order the wine pairing. View menu

The Schweiger2 is located near the Isar and looks from the outside not really spectacular and who would not expect such a good restaurant at that address. However ones entered the food is great and also the wine selection is worth a visit. We had a great time and the crowed is also interesting as the food.

View menu

There really wasn't a single down note to the meal. Amazing (and very modern) food, fabulous wine pairings, and impeccable service. One of the best meals my husband and I have had (and we've eaten at a lot of highly rated restaurants). It was an extremely enjoyable meal and experience all around. I'm surprised Schweiger2 doesn't rate more highly among the TripAdvisor rankings of the best restaurants in Munich. For example, it's far below Tantris, which was a huge disappointment and rip-off. Believe me, you're 100x better off going to Schweiger2 versus Tantris.

The attention to detail is the thing that stands out the most: the chef checks what you do and don't eat, he will adjust if you just don't like something (for example, for me the weird Aussie who doesn't like lamb), and he will offer more or less sweet dishes as you like. The service excellence continues to the sommelier who pairs wines so well but is happy to alter the wines or pace if you want. And of course, the lovely well presented food with the delicate flavours, aromas, and unusual ingredients, and the delicious fresh breads. The food is probably not what you would call German but there are nods to the traditional German cuisine in the modern interpretations presented. I would call it...

"Indian restaurants are becoming almost as ubiquitous in Munich as Italian restaurants lately, or so it would seem. So why did I give this one get 5 stars? In part because Yelp doesn't allow for half star ratings and I didn't feel right giving four after my wonderful dinner experience there and the excellent meals my guy has had there before me. Kamasutra is close to his work and we had dinner here after him and work friends raved about this place for lunch. They've only been open for about three months but it's a regular lunch stop for them now. One thing I noticed early on, they do not take shortcuts. Great care is put into food and service. The menu is varied, good selection of wine and cocktails too. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The interior is more modern and sleek than most Indian resto's. But what about the FOOD? We were in curry heaven. I had a jumbo shrimp curry and he had a chicken vindaloo. Sauces for both were rich, had complex, nuanced flavors and were not greasy or oily. And when they say spicy, they mean spicy, so for those of you lamenting the lack of proper spice level, make your way here NOW. If you don't want your curry toned down for the German palate, do have some here. Lovely garlic naan, very generous serving of good basmati. Delicious mango cream for dessert and real chai that wasn't syrupy sweet. Kamasutra is a real gem and a welcome addition to Munich."
