"Borderline pathetic, easy one star, it should be noted they did comp a round of drinks but they couldnt be bothered to garnish the cocktails as per previous drinks. Starters turned up after mains, wrong mains turned up, mains delivered shockingly incomplete, dishes delivered 30mins apart, completely disinterested staff, the manager and staff are woefully out of their depth and lets not pretend that this is a high end restaurant, its a knock off wetherspoons and it cant even do that properly. It was a comedy parody of what a pub restaurant should be, except no-one was laughing. Food was so poor, nothing like as described or photographed on the menu. Steak was overcooked, but somehow also cold, suggesting it sat there for a long time before being delivered to table. Merry burgers delivered without stuffing or without pigs in blankets. Chicken delivered without chips, etc (seriously the plate was 25% full how on earth they thought it was ready to go to table is abysmal). Barely a working salt or pepper shaker in the entire establishment. Place only a third full maximum so no excuses. Decor is actually nice, seats are comfortable, do NOT be conned into a false sense of security, avoid with prejudice."

Visited for Alice cocktails. Slightly disappointed that bits were missing as in no cherry in the shots no tags on the drink. But still a good day out

I learned about this restaurant from a friend and decided to visit because I heard Chef Rob was working here. I was not disappointed at all—the food was incredible! I can always recognize Chef Rob's dishes by their taste. Thank you, Slug Lettuce, for a fantastic experience!

The deco was fantastic, but it’s a shame that it’s been let down by over priced poor quality food! They even charged me £1 for two tiny onion rings!!! What a rip off! I would rather go to subway and get the same sandwich I order at a 1/3 of the price they charged! I won’t be eating there again!

The Food at Slug Lettuce was amazing, especially loved the Classic Burger it had the right amount of flavour and juiciness. Chef Rob was amazing and came round to make sure things were good. Overall ambience was nice, loved the Alice in wonderland vibe of the menu and decor. The Bar staff were extremely friendly and super professional. View menu

Great venue for parties, nights out, bottomless brunch, cocktails and food! Staff are always friendly and happy to help with organising large groups, the venue is very pretty (good excuse to dress up for a visit! and the food and cocktails are always delicious. Love the 241 cocktail deal! Also good location as close to the train station and other restaurants and bars.

This bar is a fantastic spot for a drink, featuring a stylish counter with eye-catching patterns! The overall decor is charming, enhanced by the attractive lighting. The staff were friendly, and it's a bonus that they offer a 2-for-1 deal on Saturdays. My friend and I enjoyed delicious cocktails that even had sweets in them, all while comfortably seated at a clean table!

It's an average experience. We arrived for a scheduled bottomless brunch but had to wait to be seated while they prepared our table. Once we were seated, we had to ask for the table to be cleaned as it was quite sticky. The service was slow, and the music was extremely loud. On a positive note, the food was tasty, and the wait staff were friendly. The decor was lovely and would have made a great background for photos. View menu

If you would like for there to be a many of the drinks on your table then the slug and his lettuce is a good time for you we did a brunch that does not have a posterior and the man did bring us a deluge of tasty alcohols I believe he is a friend of the slug or maybe he was the lettuce I do not judge he was a fun time and had a glorious bun a lot of people were doing the big laughs and some songs that make me think of being 7 were very loudly reminding me I am not 7 for when you would like a lot of drinks and noisy fun times it is a nice and a not breaker of your money transporter

Turned up for afternoon tea which is booked for 12:00 and deposit paid for ahead of arrival. Turned up to be greeted saying they didn't open until 12 I got there at (11:55) bit strange booking a table for the exact moment you open but moving on. Cream tea and sandwiches arrived, sandwiches were poor quality and the bacon sandwiches were sent back due to questionable colour of meat and taste, we sent the sandwich selection back and the staff did remake the sandwiches and had slightly improved, but was a very odd selection of sandwiches/wraps. Very small selection of mocktails (3) and the normal cocktails were out of a packet as I could see the bar where they were preparing them. The ladies to...

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
