"I have walked by Smack several times and several times I’ve been with someone who wasn’t as into eating their weight in lobster rolls as I was. Then finally! The fates were looking favorably upon me in a moment when I walk by alone and I was famished. It was linner (lunch and dinner. It’s not a thing, I checked on twitter, but I’m making it a thing) and my original destination, although only a block away was too far. So, I ducked into Smack and out of the rain. Created by the wonderful magicians at Burger and Lobster (you can read my review of them here) Smack is everything you want in a lobster roll without having to wait. However, a tad pricey at £12/pop £3 for sweet potato...read more"

not the best place where they can have seafood in soho, but I can't say it's bad. quite decent menu they have, and taste is what it looks like.

I had the seven samurai. it was really delicious. the sweet potato friars were simply perfect it is a nice place to quickly immerse for a good lobster roll.

I love this place...ordered classic lobster roll and beef brisket roll. Both of them are really tasty. The ambience are modern and casual. Will be back for sure when I am back to London.

tasty, casual and efficient. the Californians and the seven samurai are great lobsters. I like the casual vibe (based on their mottos) in comparison to some other places serving the umnelnde cuisine. View menu

I ordered The Original' lobster roll lobster chowder Was disappointed with the lobster roll, lobsters were a bit chewy but lobster chowder was yummy Would definitely come back again many times for the lobster chowder!

This place used to be my favorite not because of the lobster or the brisket rolls which were good, but because of the heavenly sweet potato fries he used to make. Even though the owner knew it was his success but he changed that and is now serving regular potato fries.

Smack does one thing and does it well. I've now had the Mexican and Seven Samuri. Seven Samuri wins hands down! It's the perfect flavor compliment to the lobster. Their menu changed from the last time I went. I don't understand why they started serving a brisket roll. I didn't try it and have no interest to. View menu

great place for a (priced) lunch. the lobster roller watches in 16 quid with a choice of a california spin or a Japanese inspired roll called the seven samurai. the bases of the sandwich are well covered. the brot is buttery, the outer roasted and pleasantly crunchy, while the inner of the roll is fluffy and soft. the lobster is of good quality and not overcooked and the amount of lobster in the roll is not stingy for the price.

Came here on a Saturday night when the waiting time for a table at Burger Lobster was 45min-1 hour. Has a few options of shrimp or lobster roll. I tried the basic lobster roll and I must say that didn't taste as good as the one I tried at Burger Lobster however is a good option if you run out of time to wait for table in the restaurant. I will go back to try the other options as well. The salad was good but some of the vegetables weren't really cooked. An option of sweet potato fries as side would be welcomed actually.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
