Popped in here at lunchtime with a colleague. Simple jacket potato lunch. Absolutely delicious. Stayed locally so came back for dinner. Again the food was outstanding and the welcome warm. Bravo! These places are too few and far between. Swerve off the anytime and...enjoy!!! Simply brilliant.

Found this pub by chance whilst staying at the Ageas Bowl, food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were so pleased, we went back the following night and really was not disappointed. Next time we are in the area we...will definitely be calling in. Our friends are staying at the Ageas Bowl and following our recommendation have already booked for dinner.

We happened to spot a road sign and decided to investigate. Megan, the waitress, welcomed us and took us to a well lit table in a conservatory. We ordered some fresh sea bass and a homemade steak and ale pie reasonably priced. The plates and...meals were hot and tasted delicious. The vegetables were well presented and properly cooked. We both shared an Eaton Mess which which we found to be rather filling. It served us right! Being a pub restaurant there is a wide selection of beers as well as a couple of real ales.
