"We stumbled upon this cafe after coming to visit the pretty village, a local (and fellow dog walker) recommended we try the tea rooms and we were certainly not disappointed. The garden was lovely, with plenty of benches and pretty planting but we chose to sit inside. It was not a problem we had our dog and we were greeted by a young and friendly waitress. We were offered a couple of tables, chose the one we preferred (next to the display of delicious sweet treats) and were handed menus. The cream teas being served at other tables looked delicious but we were only there for a quick bite, as we had made plans for later. After a short while perusing the menu another friendly and smiley waitress took our order, tea for two, one slice of Victoria sandwich and one slice of lemon and blueberry cake. After a short wait our order arrived and I have to say, it really was the nicest Victoria sandwich I have ever eaten. The cake was fresh, soft, sweet and buttery, the buttercream incredibly well made, smooth, light and airy, simply perfection. My husbands cake was of the same excellent quality. On enquiring we were informed the lady who owns the tea room bakes the cakes, she is a very talented baker. Given the fact the cakes were excellent and of a generous size along with a large pot of tea and a large jug of fresh milk, I could find no fault with neither the incredibly friendly service nor the food. All this and dog friendly too. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone living nearby, visiting ir passing through to definitely go!"

There are no vegan options available at this restaurant. I tried to book afternoon tea for a group, but when I called, they informed me that there are no vegan items on the menu.

I frequently visit the Tea rooms for brunch or lunch. Paul and his staff are always professionally dressed and polite. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is truly enjoyable to dine in the garden.

Yet another super visit to the Southwick Tea Rooms. Yet another great experience. This time, apart from the usual pot of tea I enjoyed the classic Scone with Cream and Jam. The scone was warm, fresh and really tasty. A perfect afternoon with two very good friends. Thank you Southwick Tea Room. View menu

We visited Southwick Tea Rooms to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had Afternoon Tea, which included Tea/coffee, choice of sandwiches, choice of scone with cream Jam. Plus a choice of homemade cake. It was all delicious, freshly made, plenty of filling in the sandwiches, it couldn’t have been better! Service was excellent too!

Greeted by Lovely friendly staff, who showed us to our table and gave us a menu. She came back a little while later and took our order. Food came, nicely presented and the plate was full. Also nice and hot. She popped back to ask if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything else. Which it was and we ordered another coffee. It's a lovely Tearoom, with great food and with a great wartime atmosphere. We will and have been back since for lunch Recommended

My friends and I visited today for the first time and decided to have an afternoon tea. The sandwiches were amazing!!! The bread was soft, delicious crusts and deeply filled. I had prawn Marie Rose and smoked salmon with cream cheese both were delicious. The scones were lovely, with individual portions of ham and clotted cream. There was a good choice of cake; I opted for the lemon drizzle which I enjoyed. My friend had chocolate fudge which was an enormous portion she had to randoms home with her! I will definitely be back! View menu

Called into the Tea Rooms on the off-chance with several friends and the staff kindly found us a table (many tables were reserved). We all opted for granary bread sandwiches, some which came with a generous salad and crisps and others went for the doorstep bacon sandwiches, which were enormous! Excellent pots of tea to drink. Obviously already well known in the area as there was a queue for tables, so make sure to book beforehand. The Tea Rooms are set at the back of Southwick Stores which comprises a village shop and post office. The shop was the best stocked of any village shop I have seen in a long while

My friend and I walked to this little village where my friend lives, unsure of where to park if driving, as we couldn't find a nearby car park. Many people seemed to park on the main street outside. The tea rooms themselves were very clean and tidy. We decided to sit indoors as all the outdoor seats were taken. There weren't any clear instructions when we were seated, so we assumed we had to go to the counter since no one had come over to take our order after waiting for a while. The lady at the counter was quite blunt and rude, telling us that someone would be over to take our order. This same staff member then brought over our drinks, almost slamming them down. I wish I had noticed her nam...

"We love PPA and have been coming here as a family for a couple of years, since moving to Winchester. It has been a real shame that lockdown has prevented them from operating as usual it was great to go back tonight for a treat, just the two of us. The front of house greeting and service was superb, and we really felt welcomed. Drinks and food orders were taken quickly, and the waiter returned to check that the order received by the kitchen was correct (far better than risking getting it wrong). Wine was ice cold and served properly. Starters were very nice, although in our gluttony we ordered too much the Thai ribs are melt in the mouth tender meat, and the size of a small steak. Partner's lemongrass fish skewers were likewise lovely. We also ordered the tempura vegetables, which were divinely crispy and tasty and I ate too many...... My main course of coconut/cashew crusted chicken on top of mango salad was lovely, the crunch was great against the sharp fruity salad. Partner had sea bass loved it. Far too full to consider dessert but that was our fault entirely. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent restaurant the fact that the waiter looked concerned at my not competely cleared plate (which was due to my aforementioned gluttony) and asked if everything had been OK just exemplifies how much the team cares about their customers. There was a kind, understanding smile offered when we pointed out we were completely stuffed, though! Tiny point to conform (I think) with govt regs re: COVID 19 the ceiling fans/air con were on full blast and it was freezing cold. Management sorted it out quickly by turning it down when we pointed out the temperature issue take a cardigan though. A really great restaurant with a really great manager and whole team. Such a pleasure to eat at PPA we will be back."
