"This was a nice weekend. We were walking along the Main and decided to eat something. The place looked charming, and this is the only positive thing we can say about it.We took seasonal food with chanterelle/Pfifferlinge. The soup was pure salt, hardly any other taste could be detected. Main dishes (2 different ones) were a mixture of no taste/no salt/no seasoning parts with completely oversalted other parts on the same plate. We were not able to finish the meal.Service was slow, not always responding to our questions. We will rather not take our friends there, even though we will be living in that area."

We made this our first place to stay in Germany. It was a great first cultural experience. Very good food and drink from local recipes and seasonal foods.

We had a decent meal but the service and prices were not as expected. The wait staff were both slow and not very friendly. The cost of the food was high for the area and what we ate.

Our hotel was across the street, but we had dinner here. The food was typical and enough for hungry people! My "Schäufele", a pork shoulder, could be a portion for a real woodcutter! The price was a little bit higher but still ok.In the restaurant there is a shop where you buy wine and other products of this area.

This was our first visit to Veitshochheim, and Spundloch was within walking distance from our hotel. I wanted to introduce my children to a typical German meal, and it was delicious. We had a Schnitzel, Pfifferlinge and Semmelknödel and a Lende Ratsherren, all exceptional. We sat in the cute little courtyard, and service was prompt. Would definitely recommend

We got the last table on a busy night, and enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service. The small menu (always a good sign) is available in English, and had sufficient variety, and our choices proved to be both interesting and delicious. The list of local wines must be heaven for connoisseurs, but the notes we enough for us to make a reasonable choice. The bill was amazingly small. We are sorry not to be staying longer to visit again View menu

We stayed here for two nights and had dinner in the garden restaurant the first night. The weather was perfect and it was very busy, also a saturday night. We had some lovely food, we took their steak, argentinian beef and it was really nice.We took salad as a side dish, as it was really niceThe steak cooked to perfection, and we had a lovely bottle of red wine, Dormina to go with it, a nice choice.Staff very friendly. We would definitely come back and eat here again.

We sat outside on a nice patio after we had made a table reservation on a Sunday night. The restaurant serves good local wines and typical food for the area. It took a long time before the waitress took our order and about an hour before we got our food but she was very busy. We ordered wild boar and 'schaufle' which is a pork shoulder with crispy crackling. The best were the potato dumplings. They were delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere and would go back if in town.
