"My wife and I have just spent two and a half weeks in various parts of Scotland and Ducks Inn absolutely stands out for the quality and value for money of the dinner we had. The bar/restaurant has a really friendly vibe to it and is clearly popular with locals (always a good sign . My wife 's vegetarian and had roasted pumpkin ravioli with parmesan cream to start followed by puy lentil and vegetable ratatouille, both of which she really enjoyed. I had hot smoked salmon with a glorious gin foam followed by seabass with celeriac puree and creamed potato. Both were really delicious. Fairly full, we managed to share a very generous selection of cheeses (apparently supplied by Haddington 's 'cheese lady ' . The wine list is excellent and the service was attentive and friendly without ever being too much. And, given the price inflation we 're seeing at the moment, I was struck by how fairly priced everything is. Thoroughly recommended dinner venue for anyone in East Lothian (or, indeed, Edinburgh as Aberlady is only a short drive outside the city and a lovely spot to walk around if you 've not been ."
