"A party of 8 had, as some of them said on the night, the best tasting food they'd ever had'. Chips were to die for and the grilled sea bass done to perfection. A great touch: a mini-dessert with a tea/coffee at the end. Clever...idea. Service immaculate and very friendly. All in all, a wonderful evening was had by all 8 of us. Thank you"

There is something for everyone at this restaurant. The duck dish is sensational, and the fries and fried potatoes are amazing. The atmosphere is fantastic. Visitors will not be disappointed when they dine here.

Whenever we travel from Scotland to North Wales, we always make sure to stop at White Horse. The food is fantastic, with a diverse menu featuring delicious specials, and the service is top-notch. What more could you ask for?

This pub is a little gem. Lovely setting next to the church in a beautiful village. Lovely specials are regularly changed and the meat is always locally sourced. Cosy seating area round the fire. Now open from 4.30 p.m. on a Saturday too so great...to have an early meal. Garlic mushrooms are the best I’ve tasted! View menu

This is one of our favourite pubs. Popped in last night for supper and I had the seabass special, just fabulous. They're always ready to adjust their menu, as they have so often for us. Lovely friendly service. Thanks again, Annie, Merfyn, Hilary and gang...for always making feel welcome and for the gorgeous food.

Enjoyed a tasty Sunday lunch roast lamb with a selection of vegetables and gravy all piping hot. Friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the coffee was dire and I was sorry I’d ordered that. Next time I visit, I won’t! All in...all, a great place and always busy a good sign in itself. Book and enjoy.

"Went for afternoon tea with my wife, using an 'experience ' voucher from a well known site, costing £35.99 absolute disaster! The description said 'sit down in the sophisticated dining room and tuck into a section of finger sandwiches, tantalising cakes, pastries, macarons and scones with clotted cream and jam. You won 't want this afternoon to end! ' Trust me, we could not get out of their quick enough and go and find somewhere to get something to eat. The sophisticated dining room was a large, cold room with only a couple of other diners, sticky wooden tables, with no table cloths, just a flimsy paper napkin and a knife and fork. We ordered a coffee and a tea, which came in the smallest teapot, I have ever seen. Later in the meal, when we asked for another drink, we were told that was extra and were charged another £5.70. The food was nothing like as described or pictured on the website. A sad looking selection of sandwiches four quarters each of thin sliced bread one containing a very small piece of processed ham, a second mashed up egg, third was some sort of fish, not sure if it was salmon or tuna; and finally some sort of green leaf with something wet on top it looked like the sandwich had been made days earlier and then sat upon! No pastries or macarons but the two scones with clotted cream and two little pots of jam were OK, however the remaining small cakes were dreadful, none of them were fresh there were two eclairs that were inedible, either the cream or chocolate was off and they were very dry; two little red velvet cakes, which again were dry and horrible; and finally two small pieces of carrot cake that were the least objectionable but again very dry. When we told the waitress the eclairs, she said she would tell the chef but no offer of an alternative. True, it was an unforgettable experience, but not in the way we had expected! We have had afternoon teas in top hotels, pubs, cafes and well known garden centres and nothing came close to being as bad as this meal. Needless to say we will never return and would strongly advise caution if anyone is thinking of going here."
