"I had a baked potato, which was a fairly good size and grated cheddar cheese on top only a very small amount of butter was put on top of the potato before the cheese and there was no taste of it when I was eating it. The cheese didn't have much flavour and to charge £5.50 for this, I think it was a bit high. My husband had the steak and ale pie with mashed sweet potato and mushy peas. They were lost on the plate as there was so little and the pie is very small. To charge £7.90 for something like this is again, too much. The pie and mash tasted lovely but there needed to be more. We weren't filled up with our dinner and instead of being able to leave and drive home we had to go and find another place that sold food so we had something else to eat on our long drive home. We wouldn't go here again because of this."

Try the jacket potatoe with tuna and sweet corn . It's quite nice but the portion for the side salad is a bit little.

I tried the steak and ale pie. It was decent, but the pastry was not great - it seemed soggy. I probably wouldn't go back again.

Good jacket potatoes, but quiet expensive with the added cheese and sweet potatoes mash. Some jacket potatoes were starting to get cold too. But ok price and filling.

The restaurant was a bit expensive and I was hoping for more portion size for the price. The gravy could have been more generous, as a little bit goes a long way. However, everything was hot and tasty, so I can't complain about that. It's possible that the food was so good that I was just disappointed with the portion size.

Visited the Westfield branch of Square Pie and was very pleased to see a wide variety of sides available with the different pies all neatly arranged.I had the steak and kidney Pie with mash potatoes and mushy peas which were all very tasty and was able to have a gluten free Pie with mushrooms and asparagus fillings. This came with a soft drink. Service very pleasant and the counter area appeared very clean.

I had a tasty cheese and onion pie with broccoli and gravy. I agree with some of the other comments that the servings could be a bit more generous for the price, and considered asking for more gravy and broccoli but didn’t. As it was the meal was satisfying and the pie was piping hot inside! I appreciated the fact that my coke was served in a glass bottle and not plastic, but was disappointed about the plastic straw plonked in it.

My sister and I were thrilled to discover a restaurant that offers halal pies, but it was a bit disappointing that the halal option is only limited to chicken. We tried the chicken and mushroom pie with two sides and gravy. The pie was decent, but could have used more flavor and seasoning in the filling and mashed potatoes. The gravy was delicious and really tied the meal together, although we wished there was more of it. The price was reasonable and I would consider returning again since there are not many options for halal pies. Despite being located in a busy shopping center, it was a decent experience overall.

Normally a trip to Westfield means a diversion from our normal eating habits. Jacket potatoes at Square Pie made a nice change. I cannot remember the last time I ate a jacket pot with beans and cheese but they looked so good behind the counter we could not resist. And they did not disappoint. The potatoes were great; they actually tasted of potatoe not some non-descript starch like baked pots sometimes do. The fillings were ample and lunch turned out to be quite a substantial meal. Of course one has to get over the wincing at the price charged for a humble root vegetable with a bit of cheese and beans, but actually the portion is so substantial and tasty it is value.

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
