"This Is a cafe absolutely on top of its game. I am a regular there. The food is immaculately cooked. Hot. Well presented. Proper expressp cappuccino if you must. Real pride and happiness from the owner. He is doing amazing business with Uber eats and deliveroo. Well done him and team. I absolutely love this superb example of its genre. One request. Can you add black pudding to choices Then you go from superb to sublime."

"We had a Japanese friend staying with us who had not had a Japanese meal in England before. We decided to try this Japanese restaurant as a takeaway and ordered several dishes. Our friend rated the meal overall as a 6 out of 10. I...would agree with her. The dishes were cooked to the Western palate and had a little too much sugar added making the fried udon, teriyaki chicken and fried aubergine all too sweet for the Asian palate. However, we will still visit the restaurant in future. We will make a point to request the chef to reduce the amount of sugar and salt."

"I actually come here to breakfast regularly. before 12 they do a fantastic eier benediktin, ie royal and a full English for under five. I thought I was trying to eat an evening as it is open until 11 o'clock and it's date night. they have a two cure for 11 quid off putting, but the rest is really nice. I said with the baked pork mushroom with melted edam and an salat on the side. with my spicy tradition I ordered a sorrento. pepperoni, fried tweebel, chili, speck and huh on a tomato basis. the woman had florentino with cheese, spinat, oliven and a ei (fried) the basic was soggy in the middle of the pizza, but the ingredients were fresh and the za tasted...more"

"Moved to the area recently and very quickly fell in love with the George; it 's a great little historical pub with a lovely selection of beers and ales, a nice atmosphere and attached to a Thai restaurant However, very recently my friends and I came in for a few drinks and some food, and found the food had dropped significantly in quality. This wasn 't a huge issue as we raised this with one of the women at the bar who, upon being told the food didn 't taste seasoned, proceeded to tell us this isn 't a restaurant followed by that 's just how it 's made . The same member of staff is also always very standoffish at the bar, seems to always be miserable and makes ordering very awkward, which is a shame because her colleague seems to be super sweet, welcoming and chatty. I understand a workplace environment can R daunting, but this person seems to have no manners at all and is actively off-putting. My friends and I have since decided to move our regular pub and no loner go to the George."

"Proper punjabi home cooked meal. This is it. Home style cooking, missing your mothers food, visit this place you won’t be disappointed. Simple vegetarian food, cheap but good quality and tasty food (5 star food hygiene rating). Wish they were in central London but well worth the trip. 5 mins walk from Southall station. Very pleasant staff, always smiling and helpful. To top it off, love the punjabi songs they run on the TV, brings back memories of my home, which I dearly miss. Keep up the good work. Makki roti saag, cholle bhature (not even a drop of oil), chaat and hot fresh jalebi!"

"We 'd not been since the reopening so were excited for this. We 'd booked for Christmas lunch no less. I have to say the welcome from (I presume the landlord (we didn 't get his name and team were lovely, so I hope they take this feedback as well meant. The food was OK. Not anything to complain about, but it was a bit basic and lacked attention to the details which I think Christmas should be about. The baked Camembert starter came with a few thin slices of French bread and a sprig of thyme but it would have been greatly improved by a bit of cranberry sauce on the side in terms of visuals and taste. We ran out of the bread pretty quickly! The prawn cocktail starter was flavourless and the prawns were tiny and a bit dry, clearly thawed from a packet. My husband and elder son 's turkey main course was described as 'with all the trimmings ' but aside of pigs in blankets and sprouts, there was no stuffing or (again cranberry sauce. My roast pork skin wasn 't 'crackled ' so was just a soggy layer of fat and the accompanying potato Dauphinoise was woefully underseasoned so I left that too. Not worth the calories. My other son enjoyed his steak chips though which were cooked exactly as he wished. Desserts all OK no complaints, nothing to write home about on presentation. A few berries or even a sprig of holly on the side and a dusting of icing sugar would have made it feel a bit more 'Christmassy '. If it was only this though I would have gone for a 'good ' rating but there isn 't one here i.e. 3.5 out of 5. The thing that made it drop down again, was that they sat us behind a screen on the other side of the toilets. This wasn 't immediately apparent as a problem but over the next two hours, the smell of p*ss started seeping into our nostrils and completely destroying the ambiance. I ended up leaving half my dessert and stepping away from the table whilst we were waiting for the bill. Luckily we didn 't need the toilet whilst we were there. Again, not the fault of the staff but those toilets need a much better clean and ventilation. Not pleasant at all. Would we go again? Yes, for drinks and the staff, welcome and service. No, for a Christmas meal, but maybe we 'd try it for regular pub grub (I 'd insist on not sitting near the toilets though they need fumigating and a new cleaner! ."

"Everything was slow to be shown to a table (we had booked), to take an order, to get drinks. It was almost an hour after our booking when we got our starters. The staff were trying their hardest, were apologetic about the wait times, and took our drinks off the bill at the end, but they were clearly understaffed and overworked for a busy Saturday lunch. The food was OK the starters were simple but nice enough, but the burger was a bit greasy, the bacon under, the fries slightly over."

"Tired and hungry we needed simewhere near to our hotel and without much planning ended up in this lovely little family restaurant. Not expecting too much we were very pleasantly surprised .Its bring your own booze so a quick step round the corner for a...good bottle from Tesco kicked things off well, follwed by exceptionally good hot and cold meze that were as good if not better than anything you could find elsewhere. Portions were generous and the spicing was full and creative. All in all a lovely meal at a very reasonable price rounded iff with mint tea and some complimentary pastries. We shall return!"

"We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly waitress who let us choose a table and even though there were only two of us she let us have the prime window table laid out for four. We ordered drinks and chose the set Classic Menu. The starters arrived and were lovely and the presentation was beautiful too. We then had the crispy aromatic duck course which was again delicious but we had an odd number of wraps so had to cut one in half and share but never mind! The final main course was the best yet all the dishes were delicious. The Sizzling King Prawns in black bean sauce were exactly that piping hot and sizzling black smoke over the table! The crispy shredded beef was tasty and the Thai green curry spicy. My only minor quibble was the dish of special fried rice to share could have been bigger to soak up all the lovely sauces. After each course the waitress brought a dish of warm water to wash our sticky hands and piping hot towels at the end of the meal. We will definitely be going back soon."

"A really pretty pub and super beer garden. The staff however is a bit flat, soulless and not very communicative. Sure, it was hot that day . I get it. Still, easy to say hello and thank you and perhaps even crack a tiny little smile."

"Terrible customer service. Order made and completed on just eat app as delivered yet no food arrived. When calling the restaurant I am first told that the driver called me on my phone yet no calls came through to me, I am then told the driver rang the door bell and again no one rang the door bell. I am then told food is outside my door and what do you know the food isn't there. I am then speak with the restaurant manager that the driver didnt call me, just eat called me and they would know yet again no one called me. Prime example of a fast food service being unable to provide the simple service of following through an order nor capable of speaking with paying customers. The service doesn't even warrant one star1"

"I had a couple of dishes. I had the sausage, bacon and egg burger and that was sooo tasty. I also had the ham omelette and a cup of tea. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and clearly hard working. The service is fast and the food is simple but the selection is broad and done well. Comfort food at its best and made with love."

"This place has been an absolute surprise experience! They really look after you that you feel like you are in a home! I thought I was going to be here for an hour but ended up being there for 4 hours! I learnt a lot about Eastern European culture and politics, felt loved, had a heart warming meal, and the best hospitality ever! I suggest you come here if you want some TLC! This place sure does have it! Not only that but also a great sense of humour!"

"Hugely disappointing. Went for my mum’s birthday, decided to try the afternoon tea after hearing it was good from a friend, albeit a couple of years ago but I checked the recent reviews and they appeared to be good. We were the only customers, there were several men going in and out, talking loudly and keeping the staff occupied which meant our service was nonexistent. The restaurant itself is run down, had an unpleasant smell, the tables were sticky. The afternoon tea consisted of chicken wraps, falafel wraps, and a ball of mushed up meat rice in filo pastry, smothered in cinnamon. Alongside ready filled scones and shop bought cupcakes. Then a plate of falafel and a plate of baklava. Sadly none of it was particularly enjoyable and the whole thing was just disappointing. Not worth £110 for 5 people. I could have put together a much better Lebanese afternoon tea myself!"

"I miss you so, Clocktower Cafe, because my beautiful daughter, Sienna, lives not far from you with Conor, and their baby Jules. We came to your wonderful cafe so very often, and now I am back in Sydney, so far away. Please look after Sienna, Jules and Conor for me!!!! I miss them and your cafe just SO. And two years later I am back, ever lo lovely! Ella, our young and very busy waitress, is excellent! (Maybe she should receive a payrise?"

"One of my favourite places to go for Japanese pastries. It's on the pricier side, however the cakes are fantastic! They have various sakura blossom cakes (seasonal) and they are fantastic. I tried the cheesecake, sakura Panna cotta and matcha cake. They are all meticulously made and delicious! I'm not too crazy about the sakura latte and I've had a better black sesame latte. Anyhow, this place is definitely recommended to try when you're around."

"As a previous customer at park view chippy for over 25+ year but now with new owners the food is dismal! That if I could give them a -5 I would! I was recommended this chippy by a friend and I love it! Being busy with work and Xmas atm I have ordered 3 in the last 4 weeks! Lol! First order was cod and chips but then tried cod bites! Out of this world! For 5.50 for 3 they are pretty big compared to most I have had and the chips are outstanding! Only one glitch from these 3 orders is the last one they sent gravy instead of curry sauce! But how good the food always is I let it slide ::D"

"This was my first time in a combination of Bangladesh and Indian cuisine. It was beyond my expectation having had boneless tilapia fish and special fried rice. Not as spicy but very well cooked with proper sauces and the fish was sizzling. The special fried rice is by far better than the fried egg rice. This was complemented by a great wine. This is a rather small place but excellent service supersedes the size and also given the spotless environment. Very welcoming staff who really attend to you and listen. Next door is a great pub and four minutes away is a Picadilly line."

"Great, high quality coffee in a small, friendly and cool environment. This is the place to go in Hanwell for your caffeine fix if you really like your coffee, and it also has an urban vibe and a downstairs that is used for yoga classes and art exhibition. Some lovely food offerings your avo on toast plus various high end toasties and wraps. The cakes and baked goods tend to be underwhelming, though, and I always end up thoroughly disappointed after purchasing a £3 croissant that tastes a lot less good than the one that Lidl up the road can sell me for 40p."

"I ordered from here through Deliveroo last night as last time I got food from here it was delicious. The delivery said 40 minutes, there was an issue with the driver, granted not the restaurant’s fault. When I called the restaurant and spoke to a so called “manager” he apologised but also continues to say the driver kept saying 5 minutes 5 minutes. Knowing the food had been sitting out for long enough already it continued to sit out whilst waiting for a driver. When I mentioned this to the “manager” he said we don’t have things to keep the food warm. I mentioned knowing he knew the driver was taking longer and food had been sitting out for over 45 minutes that he should have made fresh food to which his response was then we will have to waste more food. This to me was unacceptable, He willingly gave our freezing cold stale food to the driver to be delivered to us to be thrown straight in the bin. The onion bhajis is where in the bottom of the plastic bag not even in the packaging. In one breath he said we don’t have contact with Deliveroo and then said I have contacted them to see how long the driver would be, obvious lie. This is not the kind of response you would expect from a manager who would willingly give out cold food to save money but disappoint the customer. So so disappointed in this place it’s unreal."
