"I recently stayed at the Kings Arms while attending a football match with my Son. We are regular customers of this charming Inn and usually enjoy a high standard of service. However, I must say that the breakfast experience was disappointing. While waiting for our full English breakfast, three people left due to the long wait. The cook seemed to be doing his best under pressure, but the hot plate system was inadequate for handling the breakfast rush. The owners should consider hiring a chef and improving their service to avoid losing customers. There is a well-equipped kitchen on the first floor, so there is no excuse for the subpar breakfast service. Perhaps offering an 'All Day Breakfast' option would better suit the business. Despite this, we still prefer staying at the Kings Arms over a modern hotel when traveling to London. However, improvements to the breakfast offering are necessary to meet customer expectations."

"We went to Giftos last week. Due to ramzaan its jam packed at iftaar time. They dont take booking so the trick is to come minimum 20-25 mins early to get the table. They serve dates to break the fast. We called for few veg and non veg items I will give rating below. We were so hungry totally forgot to take photos Seekh kebab 3/5 Haleem 3.5/5 Matar Paneer 2.5/5 Paneer tikka 1/5 chicken karahi 3.5/5 Kulfi rabdri falooda 3/5 there was no rabdri and kulfi was ok in taste Not sure if the chefs were under pressure to make food at iftar time for so many tables. We found chkn Karahi bit oily. Over all the food was good. We will try once more once ramzan is over and if there is difference."

"we had a few parties in this restaurant before and therefore have enjoyed each other again and again and decided to have a triple celebration in their banquet hall. from the first day when we met the fronts, we were treated with a male personal alene that could not be less helpful than anything we asked was rejected and would not meet halfway to finish the deal. At any rate we agreed to her accusations and decided to try food for which we had to pay in full amount, not even a small discount, from which we complained about the chicken ktikka, as had a full taste, she did not even offer to replace, but then we asked to make sure that chicken ktikka be chest pieces and was assured at 2 points, but at the day of the celebration they served cheap chicken pieces. on the day everything went into order, apart from huhn tikka starter and not the same experience with food. at the end, when we have the bill we owe a refund of the payment we paid and said it was refunded at the earliest. also the person who was busy with us, said he would grab us the left of the buffet when we filled in a positive feedback, what a deal! then we started to follow the refund as it was not processed as promised. we have always called and were given excuses, will last a week, up to two weeks, has been processed, but not, then the person who processes the refund is on vacation, and finally, when speaking with the refund lady reshmi was said, no worries her get her refund, but we only processed in mass therefore delayed! what a lot of nonsense it took seconds to take money in advance from us, but when it came to our money back so many lie, 2 weeks delay and numerous phone calls with frustration. so much to give recurring business, never again."

"really bad and unauthentic eating. I've been to this place twice, and both experiences were really bad I had to make a comment. it is a scandal because it is located in a part of south ealing, where independent restaurants thrive. so what was so bad with the experience? I start with the service. the last two times I picked up a take, the owner gives them a barrage of asking that appear most like the Spanish inquisition on my order. I guess she just tries to be friendly, but it goes to the point of the little talk and more like the Chinese drive through to dude, where is my car. Once they place their order, she really tries to sell hard...read more"

"I believe this restaurant is part of a franchise in London, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I stumbled upon it in Ealing by accident and it was the busiest restaurant in the high street area, which is always a good sign. They also had a busy delivery service. The decor was quite basic, similar to a school cafeteria, but the service was prompt and my cold Ashari was brought to my table quickly. The starters, squid and chicken skewers, were both excellent. My companion had the duck for their main course, which was tender and delicious. I tried the catsu chicken curry for my main, which was cooked perfectly with no complaints. The bill came to a very reasonable £50 for two people, and I will definitely visit their other locations when I'm in London."

"Ridiculous prices. I ordered the lamb pie (at £18). For this price I was expecting a substantial dish. Well, I was wrong. What came was a tiny ‘pie’ that was so unsatisfying that I then had to order another whole dish (a horrifically overpriced burger), thereby spending £40 on very little food. My friend was left starving after the lamb pie debacle and later informed me he’d had a takeaway on the way home. Management is a shambles too on arrival I waited close to 10 minutes for the manager to find our seating. I was eventually shown upstairs to some weird low seats that resembled a nursery. Back aches today after a very uncomfortable couple of hours. The only thing that exceeded the prices here was the level of heating. Perhaps if they turned it down a bit they could reduce their costs and pass the savings onto the customer. Won’t be returning here. God knows how this place survives."

"the taste of food was super, which was eating as expected and came in the time and excellent service of the coworkers. also the food presentation was great, just as they looked at the menu that is really hard to find in most restaurants nowadays. the two for a cocktail were a great note to wash their food. that was between 10 o'clock 7 o'clock and 9:30 o'clock until the next day."

"From the time we entered the restaurant, we were made to feel very welcome. It is a very pretty restaurant from the inside. The staff were lovely and nice. But we did have to wait a bit (more than normal) for the food but I was glad that their roast included cauliflower cheese which is my favourite. When the food finally arrived, we were happy, but then we were disappointed to see the amount of oil on the kids pizza. We literally had to wipe it off with a tissue. Also, we had 2 adult beef roasts and a kids beef roast It said ‘Pink’ on the menu, so I asked if it would be medium rare, and the waiter said that it was. But it wasn’t pink at all it was well done and quite chewy as well. So, in terms of the ambience and service Great place, but the food and the quality of it disappointed us."

"As we live locally and like eating out,we have pretty much been to all the local restaurants. First visit was about a two years ago,as I am not a big fan of Chinese food, however I was pleasantly surprised with the seafood on offer,so golden star for that. Things have began to deteriorate on my next few visits both at lunch and dinner time...very,really very bad service, one of the girls had been in all occasions extremely rude, which resulted in our avoidance of the place altogether. Tonight my DH insisted on going there for a meal with our dear children(DD 6years old and DS 1year old). From the door we were treated rudely by the waitress asking what did we want!?After we were seated...we...read more"

"[Visit of 01 April 2023 at approx. 19:00] Pub itself seems ok, beer cold and a decent selection of it, service prompt and friendly enough. HOWEVER Sitting outside on the terrace, a neighbouring table of approximately 8 customers in their early twenties proceeded to shout, scream, swear, push each other around, one threw a chair at another, climb over the terrace fence and generally intimidate other patrons who left the terrace, or ruin the atmosphere for those who stayed put. Incredibly, a member of the bar staff came and spoke to them in the midst of this and didn't even ask them to leave. No security staff apparent at all. If this form of savagery is the level of patron this bar a) attracts and b) doesn't feel the need to remove from the premises, then I'd suggest that any other of Ealing's numerous bars or pubs would be preferable to this one, and my friends and I certainly shan't be returning on the basis of that visit."

"I had a great evening here for birthday. eating was great, personal friendly and a great choice of drinks. the garden is very spacious and beautiful. I had the rump steak that was cooked nicely, always liked the salat (especially the dressings) and the desserts were amazing. the only thing that was brushing out is the fact that they are not loud to serve their own salate, to create a waiting queue, maybe they can be washed serviers each. go back and recommend. a beautiful family restaurant."

"Me and my wife visited your restaurant last week as we wanted to try one of the few Indian restaurants in the area. We had actually popped into another one just before but we were told that one or 2 of the dishes were not available and so we came to Spice Magic instead. It was a Thursday night and so the place was fairly quiet. For starters we ordered a Chicken Sashlik and Veggie Momos. Unfortunately they did not have the traditional sauce for the Momos which qs slightly disappointing. For the mains we ordered a Lamb Rogan Josh, extra spicy and a Fish Goanese Curry. Unfortunately they did not have enough Tilapia fish for the curry and so we agreed for them to add in a few pieces of Salmon. This we also asked for extra hot. The food quality was very good and it was spicy like we had requested. The owner, Depen, came to speak with us which was nice and we we got to learn more about him and the business. The final bill wasn't too bad either for what we ate and drank. We will certainly return back here again soon."

"We dropped into Madhu's in Southall after an airport drop and managed to find parking on this very busy high street next to Iceland. It was almost 2pm and that's perhaps why we were quite easily able to get a table as a walk in. They have a lovely selection of items on the menu but the chicken curry was absolutely excellent delightful flavours not at all overpowering and not too creamy nor too spicy just right. The laacha paratha that we ordered with it was excellent too. The jeera chicken, on the other hand, was a little dry and tough while the mogo dish that we ordered was a little too spicy with too much gravy that drowned the flavour of the mogo. Having said all that the service was very good and the prices are very reasonable. I note that the Madhu's chain has gone quite upmarket with some of its newer branches although I suspect that prices at its fancier sites are pretty fancy too so if you want to enjoy their food at very competitive prices then this is the place to come."

"I had a terrible experience at The Scotsman last week. The food quality was awful and I would not eat there again even if it was free. The pub itself is nice and the decor is pleasant. The food presentation was good, but the taste was terrible. We ordered a large selection of dishes including a mixed grill, naan bread, chicken curry, and chips. The mixed grill was overseasoned and the chicken curry was the worst I've ever had. Despite the friendly staff, many diners in our party of six got food poisoning. When I emailed the restaurant about this, they ignored my complaint. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at an Indian restaurant and I would not go back, even if it was free."

"The food is a bit hit and miss based upon what we had, but there is a pleasant atmosphere, the service is quick and the staff polite. The place is reasonably done out and had background music of 1980 soft rock metal playing in the background....All very pleasant. The issue was with the food. 3 of our party had a Sunday Roast all of which gave it 5 out of 5 with a large portion of meat for a £9.50 roast (2 had lamb, one chicken). Two others thought that their food was okay average. One (a veggie) had what turned out to be a very small pasta dish gave it 1 out of 5. On had a meat platter which she gave 2 out of 5. Hence food wise an average of about 3 out of 5. Just a pitty that they could not do all of the food as nice as the roasts. Typical order at the bar and have it delivered to you table food. Better than the Wetherspoons up the road that we went to in the week before though."

"Terrible customer service. Order made and completed on just eat app as delivered yet no food arrived. When calling the restaurant I am first told that the driver called me on my phone yet no calls came through to me, I am then told the driver rang the door bell and again no one rang the door bell. I am then told food is outside my door and what do you know the food isn't there. I am then speak with the restaurant manager that the driver didnt call me, just eat called me and they would know yet again no one called me. Prime example of a fast food service being unable to provide the simple service of following through an order nor capable of speaking with paying customers. The service doesn't even warrant one star1"

"Always being a vegetarian ordering from an Indian is never generally a problem. However add to it the challenge of ensuring what you get is vegan friendly and is satvic no onion and garlic poses a challenge sadly to say many chefs just don't or can't feel they can take on. After a few false starts the staff at Mumbai 2 Go did their level best to understand our vegan and satvic friendly dietary requirements with the chef adapting the daal to be tasty and our needs. The order is also retained based on the number your orders with and comes up when you call again which saves the hassle of requesting the dietary needs again and again. The service and taste has been consistent and the staff are friendly and humble. It's a small delivery place but one we would recommend for anyone with specific dietary needs that need time and care to provide for. A regular in our list of takeaways...of which aloo chana rice with mixed vegetable curry and vegan daal makani all enjoyed with roti or chappatti."

"Used to come here regularly for team meals, unfortunately, we won 't be coming again. Totally let down by the staff. We went specifically to see the magician who is fantastic! We arrived at 10:45pm so we missed out on food as the kitchen was closed and were told by a staff member that we 'd be able to bring some Poppadum 's and Onion Bhaji 's from the restaurant down the road. As soon as we brought our food back we were told by another member of staff we weren 't allowed to bring the food in. After a 15 minute back and fourth, we decided to sit just outside and eat them quickly before heading back in. We were told we weren 't allowed to sit on the public footpath outside because it was a 'bad look '. Finally after 35 minutes, they let us sit in a dark, ratty alley next to the bins how kind. Disappointing as they were very happy to take our £100+ bar bill before saying we couldn 't eat the food. Staff were rude, disrespectful and complete liars."
