"We arrived for a pre booked event where we had booked tables outside in the covered/heated area however when we arrived we were informed we could no longer sit where we had booked, with no explanation just awful attitude from the bar staff Nicole. We were sat on the patio where it was freezing and given one heater between over 20 people and told to get on with it. A member of our party politely approached the owner and asked if anything else could be done considering the place was empty, he did accommodate this however when talking to him Nicole continued to stand next to him shouting ‘I’ve given you the patio deal with it’ and had to be calmed down by her manager. We were seated and although it wasn’t what we requested we appreciated they had accommodated us, throughout the night the staff were polite and friendly minus Nicole who continued to be extremely rude to all of the members of the party and had the worst attitude I have come across. This was told to the owner who said he would speak to her, however she continued. As we were leaving she told us ‘move out my way’ instead of politely asking us to move to the other table whilst she cleaned up. At this point some of the party challenged her and asked why it was that she was so rude, she became aggressive got in people’s faces and swore at us. Following on from this a member of the party wanted to speak to the owner, who dismissed it and just said he will speak to her despite her being next to him laughing and he let this continue. It was then explained to the owner we have been coming for a very long time and never received this service and with staff like this, they’re going to loose many customers. She then responded extremely aggressive ‘we don’t want you to f come anyway’ despite probably giving them great business that night as they had no customers and now we can see why. She got extremely aggressive challenging a member of the party, to the point where she chased him out of the bar threw a glass and ice at him and had to be restrained by her owner and staff members. It was extremely embarrassing for her but also shameful that she is allowed to work in this role with this behaviour and the owner allowed her to do this. We will never after all these years go back there and will ensure we spread the message far and wide that no one returns to this absolutely awful place."

Came to this pub for lunch on a sunny Sunday lunch time. Sat in the sun-trap courtyard and had a great Sunday roast. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.

Wow what a find. The service was only surpassed by the food which was wonder and very fresh. A real gem and a great garden to eat it in. I will be back. Thank you to staff and chef ‍.

We were staying in the area in order to walk the Shakespeare Way. A walk from our hotel for somewhere to eat became a bit of a challenge until we found The Viaduct. The staff were very friendly and booked us a table in a raised area. It wasn’t a busy night but the quality of food exceeded expectations. My chicken breast was very tasty but the accompanying potato dauphinois was the best I’ve ever tasted, just melting away in the mouth.

I recommend this pub very highly for both the food it serves, and for the well kept beers. We had our family Christmas dinner here yesterday, and we were all very impressed with the table display. The food we ordered was superb, and the dinner sizes were very generous. The staff were all very friendly, and the pub was very clean and well looked after, and it is a credit to Fullers. Thank you to everyone for making it a such a happy event for us.

Went for a Sunday Roast, taking the option for 2 courses. Starters were terrible. The squid had no taste and looked shop freezer brought. The salad had no dressing, looked like it had just been taken out of a packet. The roast came out drowning in gravy, should this not be served separately for you to pour what you need? Way too much salt, vegetables were bland and boring. Waste of money. Staff were nice and it was pretty busy so had high hopes. Something in the kitchen needs to be changed. The actual pub needs to be updated, very old and grubby looking. Sorry will not be returning.

We went for a Sunday meal as cudnt be bothered to cook tbh, squid starter was out of a packet and no dressing on the teaspoon of salad, then I had the roast beef and husband had roast chicken. The beef was dry and tough and same for the chicken,, the majority of the potatoes were hard and not cooked through, no crisp to them, just looked steamed and not alot of colour to them,, veg bland.. now on a roast in other places the gravy comes in a separate jug. Here the chef covers the food in an overly salty and way to intense gravy. Ruined the whole dinner. I ordered the kids the stuffed chicken breast with dauphinoise potato. Again,, the chicken was dry and the chef clearly doesn 't know how to...

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
