"Unfortunately, this one can not be recommended. The view and the setting itself are GORGEOUS, no doubt about it!Everything else is however mediocre, unfortunately...The first bummer was a busy waitress, who was coughing heavily - she was obviously sick at work (which is forbidden by law in this business!).The food was a disappointment all along - either bland or overspiced, a polenta side dish that has been warmed up 3-4 times (!!) and had become crunchy...that kind of stuff. Even their dessert was bland. The only thing they do right is food presentation...which is nothing if the food isn't tasty! The prices are definitely high and paired with their mediocrity this left me with the feeling that I had been ripped off!Bottom line: better go for a walk if you want to enjoy the view than paying them a visit."

Big and spaciuos room, good food served in style. It was easiy to sit for a long time, not only to enjoy the food, but likwise to splendid surroundings.

We had a business dinner with the whole team at this restaurant. very nice location with average food. cost of wine was definitely too high for the quality

Had the opportunity to eat here for a business lunch and the ambiance, food, service, and view are amazing. It set the stage for a relaxing and productive discussion.

We went to steinburg for a family lunch. The castle is on the top of the hill overviewing Würzburg. We had a table outside on the big veranda. Everything is great at Steinburg, food, service, view. View menu

When it is warm and sunny, this is a perfect place to walk to through the vineyards, and sit on the terrace having a drink to pass the afternoon away. I have also eaten here, but for me the terrace and some drinks is the most rewarding. For visitors to Würzburg, this is a great "off-the-beaten-track" place to visit.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and we just loved it. We were so well looked after. The view over Wuerzburg is stunning, we had drinks on the terrace to start, were given the prime table, which had been decorated with hearts and the food was incredible. The service was excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Steinburg while waiting to check in. The restauant is in the hotel's old castle section and knights in shining armor are all over the place. My husband had some great sausage and I had a fabulous salad - which we enjoyed out on their beautiful terrace with the most fantastic view of the town, river and vineyards. Highly recommend this place! View menu

We ate here one night while staying at the hotel. The food was incredible and actually well priced for the quality. Many of the dishes had interesting ingredients that were combined well into something special. The pesto gnocchi was a favourite of the night, but the five course meal with wine pairings was a great way to sample german cuisine and local wines. Highly recommend.

The location is incredible in a renovated castle on a hill in Wuerzburg and surrounded by vineyards. We didn't stay there but went a few times for dinner. Do request a table by the window or outdoors on the terrace. Good value meal with excellent service and a chef who cares. We don't eat pork but received a maincourse that contained pork. The chef redid the meal even though we had neglected to read the description on the menu. Definitely a must visit.
