"Lovely! Perfect actually, as we were staying at the premier inn next to it and I have to say I may not have gone there otherwise. However, I will now go back to brewers fayre. It’s not the cheapest if I’m honest but the menu is very varied and the service was brilliant. Our waiters were really helpful and polite. They took time to get the order right and checked in on us a couple of times. Also helpful with directions thank you! The atmosphere was very relaxed which was very welcome. We sat in the conservatory and took our time. Give this place a try you’ll not be disappointed."

Today my husband and I went to lunch at the cookhouse after recommendation. We were greeted on arrival and the good service from Tom was continuous throughout our visit. The food was great, we will definitely eat here again!

Had a fish pie which was good, but the reason why I wanted to leave a review was because of the service received. I was served by Sophie who was very friendly and efficient and always had a smile despite being busy keep up the great work

Went as family of 4 adults, service was very good with Emma and cannot thank her enough for that. Even when drinks were served 1 was with Ice which i had specified not to be included, Emma apologized and a fresh drink was made this time without the Ice. Food was served at a good rate and service through out was very good. Credit to Emma

Popped in for some lunch. Went for the steak and ale pie and a pulled pork or chicken pie, can’t remember which. Anyway, the filling was tasty enough but the crust was as hard as nails. Not great for a pie. Steak and ale one was a bit better. Portion sizes were on the small side too. Service was very good though and a shout out to Zara and Ella for that. Well done girls.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for the past 26 years. Today's visit was exceptional - we ordered our drinks and food simultaneously, and our drinks arrived promptly followed shortly by our food. I decided to try the new Chicken burger with avocado, and while it was very tasty, my only critique is that there was too much avocado which overpowered the other flavors in the dish.

The food was good solid chain pub food can’t say much more about it. The staff however were definitely noteworthy, Sophie and Emma were very friendly and attentive even the chef brought some meals out and was very jovial, staff attitude makes a huge difference to customer service and these folks were fabulous, make sure these staff are appreciated, they make the business successful!! We visited 27/10/23 and were in at 8pm. Thanks team!!
