Nice building good menu. Service was chaos. Waiter was taking orders from several tables at once which ensued in missing meals and drinks orders messed up. Plenty of food on your plate, but not that warm and potatoes tasted reheated. There are better restaurants for...a traditional German food experience View menu

As a familiy with we were for an early evening dinner in the Struwwelpeter. Located in Old Sachsenhausen the place still is not in the epicentre of the Beer Party mile. over one sits under huge trees in a beergarden, seperated enough from...street noises in a real nice environment. The food is traditional Frankfurt kitchen served in a surprisingly good quality for absolutely reasonable conditions. We definitely will come back

We were lucky to get a table as everywhere was packed in the area on the night that we visited. Lots of traditional meals which was what we were after. Big portions for the price so the value was excellent. Sadly the applewine stuff is...not to my taste but lots of other drinks are available. Yes the welcome is not that friendly but the people on the tables were nice and no staff were rude. Not a bad stop if wanting to try some local dishes

Strolling around looking for a place to get a good traditional meal we took a shot here and while the food was pretty standard, the good local customers were delightful. Always nice to find a place where the locals eat and sitting family style made...all the more enjoyable. Certainly nothing fancy, but if you go with the flow and relax at the German style of service it should be a good experience. We selected house specials and washed it down with local beer and had no complaints

We went there with a group of this week for some german food. I had the Handkaes with Musik as a starter which was nice. I ordered the Schlachtplatte with Bratkartoffeln as the main and I was really disappointed. The mini pork knuckle that...came with it was not grilled, the fat outside was totally wobbly and I had to remove everything and ended up with only eating a bit of it. The Bratkartoffeln were rather whole little potatoes grilled in a pan, which is not what you think of Bratkartoffeln in Frankfurt. Next time I stick to the restaurants outside the tourist areas

I came here with some friends to have a drink and maybe try some local dish. No wonder there was plenty of space available at Struwwelpeter.
