"we were in chinon for the last 5 years or so about 100m of this place and every year it is completely full. in this year we remembered to reserve a table a few months before us, and it was worth a lot, the effort. excellent eating and presentation and the staff also have an excellent knowledge about the various local wee. highly recommended. in the season they must have really reserved in advance."

"As soon as we open the door of this restaurant, the decoration gives the tone, original as the curved forms of the ceiling. the choice of menu (entrance, dish, dessert) is difficult because everything makes you want. The originality and creativity of the chef are visible from the first glance: in the entrance we had taken ravioli to the foie gras and goat, as well as a salmon waffle with sorbet in the cucumber. The 7-hour lamb mouse and the ox tab with chorizo sauce are simply extra. The reception and service are impeccable. the waiter does not hesitate to advise you for the choice of wine you can make by going directly to the wide choice of bottles available at the entrance of the restaurant. Finally, the value ratio is excellent, certainly the best chinon restaurant. Not to be missed."

"Need I say more? Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."

"Simply perfect, the value-for-price ratio is very good: menu at 29€ a Saturday night entry-plat-dessert. The place is intimate and tastefully decorated. The products are houses and each dish is perfectly thought out and presented. The wine is very good, the service is perfect. Nothing to say, the only regret is not having been able to taste all the dishes of the card! When we return to the region, we will not fail to return to this superb restaurant!"
