"After completing day 4 of hiking the West Highland Way, we stayed at the Tailrace Inn. Checking in felt like finding an oasis in the desert after a tiring day on the hills. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing tired legs. We had a delicious and filling dinner at the bar in the evening, where there was a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The next morning, we had an equally fantastic breakfast that prepared us well for the final stretch of our hike. They also had great vegan options available. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you!"

A welcome spot for a drink or a Diet Coke when you come off the trail! The bartenders were great and service was quick.

THis is how we want it; Basic pub with friendly hosts, good service and decent food. All conditions to get a straight 5 from us. THey caster to walkers and nothing is like a cold pint and a good meal (and a smile) after a long walk. compliments to the staff.

Stayed in the inn upstairs and had dinner here with a friend who came in from another B&B in town. It was a Friday night and the place was absolutely packed, but the staff were friendly and efficient, and we were surprised how quickly our food came considering they must have been serving a ton of other guests. Food was delicious.

Lovely mince and new tatties meal. Signed in like all the people ordering food. However when the barman went to collect meals a coach party of 12 came straight in to use the toilets and then went straight out the barman came back to see the last girl and commented but pubs should have the right to turn away just toilet users in these Covid times. We came for lunch and ended up coming back for dinner! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively. For lunch, we recommend trying the mac and cheese, homemade soup with a warm bread roll, and for dinner, the lasagna with garlic bread and the fish and chips. The Peroni and Guinness were also quite good.

Called here for an evening meal during a two night stay at Tigh Na Cheo (excellent B&B guest house). Unfortunately our experience fell short of the great experience we had the night before at the Highland Getaway restaurant; the food at the Tailrace was mediocre and staff were not overly welcoming or friendly, as they seemed far more interested in talking to one another.

After 7 days of the West Highland Way, our evening spent in the Tailrace Inn was probably the best one of the trip. Most pubs on the trip cash in big on their location with inflated food drink prices, but the Tailrace was the first place we encountered that had a true local spirit and buzzing atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a fun night before the hellish final day! View menu

I dined here after a day exploring the hills. I was fortunate to enjoy a delicious macaroni and cheese while my husband was slightly disappointed with the size of his fish dish (other tables seemed to have larger portions). The menu offered a variety of options and the restaurant had a good mix of locals and tourists. The atmosphere was pleasant with very friendly staff. I appreciated that the bar staff noticed and acknowledged customers as they left, making us feel more likely to return.

Had dinner here one weekend. Chicken curry, my wife had lasagne. I was hoping to mop up my wife’s remaining chips etc, sadly she ate the lot! My curry was nicely made with a decent sauce, rice and bread. After a long day on the hills I could have taken an extra portion of chips, but that’s just me being a pig. Pub has seats outside and plenty seats inside. Nice range of beers and very friendly staff. It’s my go to pub when I visit Kinlochleven and will definitely be back soon. Highly worth a visit.
