"I met with my friend yesterday and we ate brunch in tartine, a caffe in tooting broadway. the weather on Saturday morning was annoying, a combination of rain and really strong wind, so when I reached the caffe, I really needed something to warm up. I'm really indecision when it comes to deciding what to eat, I mean, there are always so many possibilities, out. at the end we both went with the vegetarian burger (I ordered it with cheese,) chips and the sauce we referred as samurai sauce (the name of the sose sounded honest as samurai! I think it was a spicy mayonnaise. everything was made fresh and the Burger-Backs were really soft...read more"

Fantastic. I go most Sundays for an eggs benedict and black coffee. Perfect!

beautiful place right at the railway station tooting broadway. large mix of food and drinks in the offer. really nice people, but can be very busy. the ambiente is also beautiful in the morning.

as soon as they enter through the doors, the whole manic road seems to disappear outside, they would not know after one because they are actually in tooting... I love if that happens an additional impulse

this is one of my favorite restaurants in tooting. they have really delicious Mediterranean style eating and beautiful mezze platters. it is very expensive, the merguez is beautiful and I also like their sandwiches. View menu

The coffee and cake is good and the atmosphere is very nice but the staff are often quite unfriendly and getting a coffee for take away is painfully slow. They also have a minimum of when paying by card which is annoying when you only want a coffee and no cash.

my experience of tartine was mixed. I really enjoyed eating and the inner, but not so much the ambiente. tartine’s decor is very chic and quirky, with their signature bike outside and in all their chairs have tooting street names written on them (a beautiful note). they have a large selection of dresses from mezze to quessadillas, and they also have a good breakfast card. However, the service was slow, tables were not deleted and we felt somewhat neglected. there were many children walking around the little place that felt pretty messy. View menu

Read my Full review with more photographs at : http I love stealing some me-time at a quiet cafe’ and am always on the look out for ones that call out to me . I am quite a fan of ”Euphorium” at Angel,London but its quite far and I become very lazy in winter , so travelling far away is ruled out.Interestingly enough for the past few months on my way to Tooting Broadway where I go and buy my Indian groceries every week I have been noticing the Tartine Artisanal Cafe and silently promising myself that after am done with the shopping I will treat myself to a cuppa, but then with heavy shopping bags for...read more
