"The service was absolutely exceptional. They were extremely attentive, but not overly so. Their timing was perfect and they demonstrated that they cared a lot about our experience. They were especially attentive to food allergies in our party and I would say went above and beyond to accommodate and ensure that we were well taken care of. The food was good, we really enjoyed our meal and dessert. I would say that the food was above average for the fine dining that we have experienced in Ireland, but was not anything that I will be raving about for any period of time. Satisfying and tasty. We also ate here for breakfast as a part of our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was fine, better than some of the hotels we have stayed in, but also a bit hit and miss on some of the items. The service for breakfast was clearly on a different level from the evening dining experience, it wasn't bad, but it was not quite the same exceptional experience we had at night. They were very accommodating again for food allergies and were able to make several of the dishes to work around our needs, which was fantastic."

We went for a dessert when the restaurant was about to close. It was empty and we enjoyed a lot the loneliness. The food is expensive for the quality offered. Nevertheless it is good. We ordered two margaritas and a panacotta and another dessert. We enjoyed the time in the restaurant

Food was good , we were really the only ones around at 730 on a Friday night it felt like the staff kind of forgot about us and I had to go get someone to get my bill after sitting a while with empty glasses. I’m staying at the hotel and thought I would try it out ; but with so many options so close by here ; the service needs to be a bit better .

I had a wonderful afternoon tea experience at the Fitzwilliam. The food was excellent and the staff were outstanding. Our server, Terry, was incredibly kind and helpful, which enhanced our experience. The food was delicious and the staff accommodated our requested changes to the menu. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and my colleague and I will definitely be returning. View menu

If this is a Michelin starred restaurant, then I don't want to eat at another. The service was slooooowww. The food was mediocre at best. My chicken was dry. My wife's trout was dry. My daughter's beef tasted like the microwaveable roast beef we get at the grocery in the states. My son's lamb was tepid. Not worth the time nor the money. I wish I had gone for fish n chips.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly and helpful reception and concierge. We stayed in the executive king and found this to be well Laid out, clean and well maintained, with good facilities and a turn down service … brilliant Breakfast was ok , nothing special , the full cooked breakfast was just ok, and the buffet part pretty the same, although the honeycomb was a good touch

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant in the Fitzwilliam Hotel today for afternoon tea. We were particularly impressed with the vegan option on the menu. The service we received, especially from Terry and James, was exceptional and we were all delighted. We have been to many afternoon teas at various hotels over the years, but today's experience was the best so far. We will definitely be returning in the future. View menu

On Mother's Day in 2024, we visited The Restaurant for dinner. We decided to order the Chateaubriand cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, our first dish had to be sent back to the kitchen as it was overcooked. The second attempt came out looking perfect, but we were disappointed to find that the Chateaubriand was not actually fillet steak. It was tough, chewy, and fatty, resembling a much less desirable cut of meat. Despite the friendly service from our server Ahmed, the meal was a complete disappointment. We ended up leaving most of the steak uneaten, as it was not what we had ordered. In compensation for the inconvenience, they offered us a portion of parmesan fries that had no parmesan. Thi...

Our servers were very nice and polite, however the wait time for drinks and food was quite a while. We arrived at 2030, and didn't leave for two hours. I ordered the roast beef with mashed potatoes, and when the food arrived, the meat was dry, and the potatoes were lukewarm at best. Frankly, the microwavable roast beef we can buy at grocery stores in the US is better than what I had here. My mother's fish was dry, my father's chicken was dry, and my brothers lamb was dry and overcooked for his taste. His roast potatoes needed more flavor and we're hot, whereas my mashed potatoes had flavor but were lukewarm. The bread plate was the best part of the meal (in my opinion). I thought Michelin st...
