"what a hidden little gem she somehow intervenes in the second in which she goes. the aroma of the dinge they come, welcomes them as they enter the old bank building, with abandoned covers, aged oaks, and the mix of modernity with steel and glass. very comfortable and cozy. the kitchen and the bar area are completely open to the view and the staff is very courteous and friendly. eating was bar non, the best I cost in the saddle. with new sensations such as the madras honey-fries and tormented seabass on a Thai green curry basis, this little feeling is a must if they want to pamper their taste buds. the beverage menu is just as good, offers all the usual bar-tarife and some very well made cocktails. admittedly I have taken some samples. a total of thumbs up to the palate cleaner of fruit salad chewing, instead of the boring usual chocolate mint. very cool. overall a huge thumb up."

We went for the Sunday evening pub quiz. We didn't win but it was well organised and a good range of questions. Beer was JW Lees which was ok but a couple of proper real ales wouldn't go amiss too. View menu

The cocktails and food are fab. The only reason it's not got 5 stars is that my eyes watered a lot whilst we were there, which is due to the building being listed so the venting isn't enough to get rid of the cooking smoke. It won't put me off though, I'll be back

First time visiting dined outside (though this is only temporary till restrictions lift). Easy to order to table pay using the app. Staff were friendly and food was absolutely delicious (highly recommend the madras honey fries). Definitely planning a return visit when we can eat inside again! View menu

Eating and drinking is great here. However, I gave it 4 stars because of the smell of a fries, which stick to their clothing and hair. if they plan to go what I would recommend due to the quality of food, they do not wear their favorite clothes as they need to wash them when they return. other assessments have also mentioned this because of the lack of ventilation.

Waitress was so polite and quick. Very busy which was easy to see why when the food was so good too. We'll definitely be back and recommend to friends! EDIT: Had to take it down from 5 to 4 stars due to the smell of oil that's clinged to our clothes and hair. After getting home we had a whiff of the smell and when it didn't go away we checked the clothes and after reading other reviews it seems that it's a common problem there with a lack of ventilation. I'll still recommend it but next time I'll wear my tracksuit and not my dry clean only clothes....

"Our second visit was even better than our first and that was great! My wife and I visited the Puckersley with friends who live close by. It was our second visit and we remembered that the food was good. A new menu had been introduced just that evening (Friday the 13th) and I noticed a selection of “Rice Bowls” from which I chose the King Prawn option. I can’t fully remember the menu description but it was something like “Salt and Pepper Spicy King Prawns Rice Bowl” MY GOODNESS! I have eaten in some fancy places and never have I been more surprised and delighted by a dish than I was that night. It was served beautifully, the prawns were lightly battered like Tempura prawns they were on a bed of egg fried rice surrounded by a lovely sauce containing goodness knows how many different chilli peppers and beautifully diced vegetables. It was even more enhanced by some greenery (sorry, i forgot what it was) which reminded me of a lightly fried rocket which just melted in your mouth. The dish is a TRIUMPH and must not be missed. I look forward to trying the other versions of this dish on our next visit and we will certainly visit again. Our friends ordered steaks which arrived cooked exactly as they requested which is unusual in itself but not, our friends say, at the Puckersley! My wife could only look enviously at my bowl but fortunately reported that her Scampi was excellent too. The waiting staff (All girls as it happened) were very happy, smiling and extremely efficient too. DO NOT MISS THIS PUB, IT IS A GEM."
