"excellent meal cooked by people who really understand eating. we came back twice in the week we spent in the dales. the service was friendly and efficient, we were well supervised by employees who were attentive and not intrusive. the atmosphere was relaxed with beautiful natural seasonal decoration, interesting art work and vintage kitchenware on the walls, it felt warm and welcoming. a wonderful culinary experience and we cannot wait to come back."

beautiful meal on black bull, the staff was great, eating was very good and I was pleased that they had a soft drink list. some great choices for a non-Trinker.

We really liked to look of the nibbles and starters so ordered a few rather than a main course. The makeral was lovely. We had the paper plane cocktail which was divine followed by cheese and biscuits View menu

Booked the New Years Eve tasting menu with accompanying wine matches, wasn’t cheap but outstanding value for money. Flavours and presentation were outstanding and the wines complemented the various courses exactly. Cheerful but professional service and nice ambience. Would heartily recommend.

The new additions to the menu at this restaurant are fantastic. I highly recommend trying the Oysters with yuzu, Hen in the Wood parfait, and lemon slice. My personal favorite was the Rhubarb, Parkin Treacle dessert, which felt truly Yorkshire. The new Amuse Bouches added a nice extra touch to the meal. Overall, I say bravo to the restaurant for their delicious offerings.
