"We visited here twice last week during our stay in Skipsea. The food was excellent and we had two lovely meals. The savoury mince in a large Yorkshire pudding is a dish I have rarely seen on pub menus and was greatly enjoyed. However, a...concern was that the female waitress barmaid wasn't wearing a face covering on either occasion. One of the elderly regulars was standing at the bar without a face covering chatting away also, therefore I have docked the pub two marks. They have the NHS QR code and sanitiser on entry, though. When Covid is confined to room 101, I'll happily return."

This spacious village pub is extremely welcoming to dogs. They offer a wide variety of beers, spirits, and wines. Unfortunately, pubs like this are becoming rare. I have dined here several times and have always left satisfied.

The bartender is definitely in the wrong profession, lacking both a welcoming attitude and communication skills. It took a long time to receive our food from the moment we ordered, and there are better dining options available.

This lovely pub is located in a picturesque village. I visited after a long walk and enjoyed dining outside. Our meals were plentiful, reasonably priced, and delicious. There are not many good dining options in the area, so we were very pleased with the charming atmosphere and our lunch. View menu

I read reviews but decided to give it go, as was closet to our caravan site. Was not disappointed so good I returned in the same week. I just think people miss read the laid back approach as I did call and thought o blunt...not rude just right to the point whatever pop in. Definitely give it a try as food is amazing

Visited with the family, barmaid friendly. Ordered quickly as the kitchen was closing, big mistake as should have looked around first flies and sticky tables. We all ordered paninis, after half an hour they came out, and were lukewarm and the rolls seemed uncooked.. not toasted at all. Chips were half cooked. Daughter ordered a hot pork (warmed in the microwave) panini which was dry, it looked and smelt like dog food. I wish someone would have come to ask us how our food was at the time. Should have sent it back in hindsight. View menu

Visited tonight with 3 adults and a dog , took table in the garden. Place does need a bit of TLC but waitress and landlord gave us a cheery welcome and seeing as we were early for food they said we could order anyway so...it was first in kitchen . Great brie starter very hot and fresh , scampi and chips hunters chicken and burger all served quickly and hot and fresh . Landlord served food shared a few jokes about the teenager doing the washing up . Good pint aswell. This is a country pub that welcomes dogs and serves great food at good prices x

Cannot believe how rude and miserable this landlord is other family members have called since to totally agree .either doesn't even look up to acknowledge you or if you dare ask what beers he has replies take a look my partner even had to ask him...why he his a landlord totally unsuited for the job . I am sure if it wasn't for the fact there is no other pub around until you get in Hornsea the customers would drop dramatically. I cannot wait while this man is taken out by the brewery he is spoiling a good pub .please someone let me know when he leaves

"Me and my wife popped in for a drink after shopping and realised that Millers had recently been taken over. You can tell the new owners have put some money into the decor and even had a live singer on which was a nice change from before. We had a look at the menu which was small compared to the previous but sounded nice. Unfortunately, from there is where the evening turned sour. I went to the bar to order some food and was left standing waiting to be served for around 10 minutes with staff just ignoring me. I would like to mention I was the only person stood at the bar and three members of staff were there but no acknowledgement. Not even we will just be a minute which I felt was rude. I do understand that they did have large Christmas parties in and most likely were understaffed but still just that they would be a minute would of been nice alternatively hire more staff for busy days before taking bookings. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for food, which was understandable. It was actually 60 minutes, and when the food arrived, we had to help ourself to napkins and cutlery as we were left. The burger was nice, but the Chicken kebab was cold, and the flatbread was raw, not just a little but really raw. We sent the flatbread back and waited another 5 minutes for a fresh flatbread which again came to the table raw in the middle. The menu also stated Tzatziki but came with Hummus which wasn't pleasant to eat. Overall it was disappointing, I think they need to start thinking of hiring more staff on busy days of the week especially with Christmas around the corner. We both said we won't be returning again for food which is a shame since Millers has always been known for their great customer service and good food."
