This was my first visit to Black Smith's Arms, and I had a three-course meal. Every course I chose was excellent, so I had to give them 5 stars.

Had a fantastic 3 course Sunday meal absolutely perfect all choices that 4 of us had well done to sara who has filled in for chef since June you are doing a great job And thanks to staff and regulars for spoiling our dog well done all and thank you all for great hospitality

if you enjoy some of the beautiful walks here, this place is certainly worth calling! the first time it was on my favorite list. very rare it is possible to find a place that is welcoming, not expensive served delicious home cooked food. homemade chips are ineffective hot bark sarnie was delicious. we were all impressed by what we ordered. 100% recommended View menu

Just had a date night with the wife couldn't of asked for anything better from going in to coming out absolutely beautiful and right on our doorstep I can't rate it high enough fantastic service cracking pint and Shaun and Bev are perfect hosts get yourselves down for a fantastic meal at reasonable prices we will definitely be back thank you blacksmiths 5 stars from us

today for mothers day Sunday evening dinner can not be mistaken the evening meal a bit, pork was delicate lend perfectly cooked, crunchy place on, roastings were nice n fluffy, veg was perfectly cooked, puddings were perfectly gravur boiled delish and there were many veg, maic carrots, papaschips, brokkoli, carrots, cooking. my only grip was the apple crumb, and this is a personal preference not a fault. the apples should disguise for me. that's it, apart from the fact that it was perfect to take my man a Sunday to prove how beautiful it was.

I went to the restaurant today for Mother's Day Sunday dinner and I couldn't fault the meal at all. The pork was tender, the loins were cooked perfectly, the crackling was spot on, the roast potatoes were delicious and fluffy, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the puddings were cooked to perfection. The gravy was delicious and there was plenty of vegetables such as mashed carrots, parsnips, broccoli, cabbage, and turnip. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the apple crumble, but this is just a personal preference, as the apples were too tart for my liking. That's the only issue I had, other than that, it was perfect.
