"I was truly blown away by this restaurant. It's exceptional! We've traveled extensively through the Highlands and Islands, and very few places match the quality of food and the ease of service that this place offers. The lobster sandwiches were served on delicious homemade bread and generously filled. The coffee was excellent, and the cakes were incredible. The orange cake was moist, flavorful, and surprisingly delightful, while the sticky ginger cake was just as rich and tasty as it looked. The building itself is charming and has a very welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the experience of taking a small ferry to get there. If you’re visiting Mull, make it a point to stop by this place; I would rate it higher than anywhere else we tried on Mull or Iona."

Loved everything about the Boathouse, the friendly service, the views and especially the food. If it's a nice dry day, definitely give this place a visit. The langoustines are amazing and the implements to get all the meat out are provided.

Stopped off here for lunch today with my family. We ate lobster, smoked mackerel pate, oysters, potted crab. All were absolutely 10/10. If you enjoy seafood then you should not miss this place. Local seafood in a stunning location....doesn't get better than this!

The service was extremely friendly, and the restaurant offered an excellent selection of food and drinks. The Boathouse had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I tried the vegan seaweed salad, which was amazing, and my partner enjoyed the trout, which he loved as well. We would highly recommend visiting Ulva just to dine at this place!

We had an excellent dining experience with friendly service, and our visit certainly lived up to the positive reviews. The stuffed crab and smoked trout were simple yet absolutely delightful. We were there at the end of August, relishing the last bits of summer. If you find yourself in the area, it’s definitely worth supporting this place and enjoying the delicious food and their effort!

Our first stop was the “Boathouse” restaurant cafe, where we enjoyed some coffee and delicious cheese scones, both flavorful and of high quality. After a pleasant walk around the island, we returned to the “Boathouse” for homemade soup and bread, which were equally delightful. The menu offered a great variety of choices. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to visit on this beautiful island, and we will definitely return!

We have been visiting for many years, but this was our first visit since the new owners took over and we were not disappointed. The langoustine were fresh and full of flavour, the bread fresh and warm and the garlic butter to die for. Cake and tea followed with a fresh and light Victoria sponge which was a delight. The short boat crossing to the Boathouse is all part of the fun, so don’t miss this wonderful cafe and enchanting island.

A quick boat ride across the harbor. A small, slightly apprehensive dog unsure about the boat, while eager humans anticipate their second visit to Ulva. I truly adore this place. It's wonderful to see it now community-owned, and there’s a noticeable sense of progress since my last visit (when the islanders secured their buyout). Oh, and I don't typically take photos of my food, but lunch was absolutely perfect. Plus, there’s an option to sit upstairs as well.
