The Boathouse Cafe - Menu

I have any chances to book a friend or business lunch breakfast I choose the boot house caffe ! I love the venue, the selection of dips and drinks, had always friendly staff. I would highly recommend and cannot wait to return tomorrow!!!

I used to adore this restaurant and would frequently visit, but on my last trip it took forever just to get a drink. It's disappointing because the location is stunning. I'm not sure what is happening behind the bar or what they are prioritizing.

Location is ok but not great and certainly doesn’t justify their food and drink prices. Menu seriously lacking in choice. Terrible customer service . Went for lunch dinner, shown to a table, after minutes we still hadn’t been asked if we’d like a...drink. Not worth the effort. Much better places nearby for less money View menu

today to the boathouse for a family dinner. we were several times before the kovid and it was nice. Unfortunately, I can honestly say today that it is the worst lunch I had for a very long time. my chicken toastia was burned in an acidity. my man had benedikt the eier, but the Hollandaise sauce had separated. I think the lunch menu is very limited and very overpriced. I will certainly not return. I cannot believe how different it is to visit previous.

I booked very late, on the morning in fact for a group of to have a birthday breakfast on a Saturday morning including three children. The staff said yes immediately, no fuss and when we all arrived in dribs and drabs we were given...a lovely table in the corner that had plenty of room. The service was excellent, always attending us for drinks food etc and we were left to enjoy the occasion. There was no pressure to leave despite them being busy. The breakfast was nice and overall we had a great experience. They have a new manager who was very pleasant. Well done the boathouse!

Had to book a time to use a voucher which was a Christmas present for afternoon tea with tea or coffee. The service was awful long wait for the coffee, then the afternoon tea. No plates or knife and forks. Asked for plates which came...with forks. How do you cut a scone with a fork? asked for a knife server apologised for no knife, Only gave knife for people. Scone burnt on the bottom which had been cut off. Mustard overpowered ham sandwich. Avocado and salmon sandwiches squelchy. Best part of the afternoon tea was the sunny weather. My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant in August for lunch. I ordered a lamb and Harissa salad wrap with salt and pepper spice chips, while my girlfriend opted for the smoked trout poke bowl. Her dish was absolutely stunning! Although my food was tasty, hers was even better. If I come back, I will definitely be ordering what she had. The service was pleasant and our food came out quickly. The location and views were also very nice. My only complaint, as a cider drinker, was that the two apple ciders on the menu were not available, so I had to settle for a rose French cider. Other than that, no complaints at all!

The food at the restaurant is consistently delicious and the service is always friendly. However, during our most recent visit, we were surprised to find that the atmosphere had changed to more of a sports bar style with loud football on TV. While we understand that this was advertised in advance, we were not aware of it and were disappointed to see the peaceful vibe of the restaurant disrupted. The staff kindly moved us outside when we expressed our discomfort, but the service became a bit lacking as we had to ask for another round of coffees. booked afternoon for a baby shower with friends for we came to ask if we want a drink, drinks came out and we asked the choice of sandwich fillings, from us did not want any fish fillings, we waited. until no one else came over, a waitress asked if we need to know that we are ready for our pre-booked afternoon tea and what is the situation with the sandwiches. she told us that the afternoon will not begin until I said I booked a few weeks ago and was not told that I also had a phone call to confirm a few days earlier. they asked to talk to manager who came over l and said that the cook was not happy to do us the afternoon now, but he wants to try, then it actually arrived? not sure what happ...
