This week I have been to The Bowling Green twice. Both times have been fantastic. Fabulous food, friendly staff and fast service. 6 of us went on Friday for dinner, all the meals were delicious and the puddings too! Looking forward to going again soon

Tablet booked, seated as requested with ventilation. Tablet was a bit small for 4, l thought. Meal was 15mins wait. Cooked well, vegetables disappointing, only green beans and carrots! Choices were excellent, we all chose 2 course menus. Great value for money

we have used the bowling green pub twice last month for Sunday afternoon and cannot praise it too much. this is fine eating to pub preisen. every employee is so obviously well trained, from bar staff to table service. well done to emma mathews and the management team, please stop it. View menu

only from my 50th birthday party, held in the functional room. private bar, great eating and beautiful staff. we had our own band, skin and had a fantastic night. thank you to all involved. we also regularly go to eat mainly, but they have a beautiful secret garden and outdoor areas only drink in summer. never had it a bad time there x

came here for our Christmas dinner, it was the best experience we ever had. great of a beautiful man at the door, then we ordered our drinks from the bar where the two girls smiled and a good time, the floor staff worked really hard, was great to see that the whole team worked together and all happy, not one of them looked challenged. the organisator of Christmas meal was great and kept on all bookings, preorders and payments. cannot thank the kitchen team enough to offer us something amazing eating! I hope they all get the recognition they deserve. will come back next year definitiw.

Not been to The Bowling Green for a while and we were in Lichfield so thought we would pop in for Sunday lunch. We had a turkey and beef sunday dinner. As soon as my husband came from the bar ordering the food arrived like within 5 mins. The food came on a cold plate I touched the vegetables and they were not even warm. I asked for it to be taken back. It came back out .the veg was warm ish. But the plate again stone cold. The parsnips were dried up the roast potatoes were frozen ones. The meat was so dry had to have a drink after each chew . I left some of the meal. Honest I never moan about my food but this was awful. Give it a miss and save your money.
