The restaurant was quite busy, and we were informed that our food would take about 40 minutes to arrive, but that was perfectly fine with us—it gave us time to chat. We decided to order from the vegan menu, and the food was absolutely delicious. Kudos to all the staff, especially those in the kitchen. It can't be easy working on a hot evening when it's so crowded, but everyone did an excellent job. View menu

The service was friendly and helpful. We ordered the smoked fish cakes with chopped eggs, which were fantastic—generously sized and made with high-quality ingredients. Our flavored lattes were delightful, and I appreciated that they weren’t overly sweetened with syrup. We loved the quirky decor and the ambient lighting as well. It was nice to find a place where the music wasn’t too loud, allowing us to enjoy our conversation. I would definitely come back if I ever visit the city again!

You don't come to Faro lounge for high cuisine but what you get is excellent. It's very pleasant to enjoy lunch here. The coffee is decent and the food interesting, well prepared and flavoursome. The décor is worth a mention, being an eclectic blizzard of artworks and artefacts, some of which are pretty good. Other than being somewhat slow the friendly service can't be faulted. Came here for lunch with a friend I hadn 't seen in 30+ years. Small wait for a table, but shown to a table by a gentleman and given menus. He failed to explain that you have to place an order at the bar, although asked if we had any allergies, so we talked for a bit expecting waiter service. We both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and chips this was £9.50 plus £2.75 for fries. The good came out reasonably quickly. The Philly was supposed to be brisket with onions peppers and cheese. Not much meat in it and oddly it had red kidney beans in it. Whilst not allergic, I 'm not keen and noticed that the "brisket chili was also on the menu.
