"Our room was lovely apart from being right next to the electricity cupboard it made it so hot lovely service from staff esp as we needed more tea and coffee would advise to keep the window open whilst staying there as it got so hot at times Rooms: Nice size despite being next to the electricity turn off point the room was big enough Nearby activities: Park not far Waterfront near as well both within 10mins of walking Food drinks: The pub serves food and drinks unfortunately it wasn't at the time we went down although they is a lovely cafe next door called the flying fox and a chipshop across the road coop near by as well Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value"

If you're unsure about what a truly disgusting place looks like, this is the spot to visit. The cleanliness is abysmal; I've never encountered such filthy rooms. Overall ratings: Rooms: 1, Service: 1, Location: 1.

Went to the Brunel pub 27th July, had the best night out in a long time. They had Helen goldsmith singing, she was fantastic. The new landlord and lady was so friendly and welcoming, all the staff was friendly. The foods looked really nice, so definitely going to try that next time. Definitely be coming back. Highly recommended. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 View menu

The room was quite good for the price. My main issue was that there were people smoking outside the room at 11 PM, which forced me to close the window on a warm night, but I still experienced noise. Additionally, parking wasn’t great; I nearly had to park in a lot and leave my car filled with vacation belongings out of sight, which wouldn't have been ideal! Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4, the service a 4, and the location a 5.

As for the rooms, they are a bit worn and in need of new beds, but they are quiet after 11 PM. Nonetheless, for £60, you can’t really expect luxury. There are plenty of nearby attractions, with Plymouth just 5 minutes away, making it a gateway to Cornwall. Access to the A38 motorway is also very convenient. Overall, the food and drinks are great, and I would rate the rooms a 3, the service a 5, and the location a 5. Hotel highlights include being kid-friendly and offering great value.
