"Managed to get a table for Sunday lunch and liked the idea that it was not just a carvery but that you could order from the a la carte menu as well. Table was a tad small but we had booked last minute, the staff were attentive and took our drinks and food order relatively quickly. As I wanted a dessert, I had the fillet steak, chips and sauce. A side of onion rings rounded things off nicely. The steak was not quite as I had asked, I wanted medium rare but it was a lot closer to medium, and as no one came to ask how our food was, I just ate it and mentioned it afterwards. The one stand out item was the Brandy and Peppercorn sauce. It is probably the best sauce I have ever had with a steak and I wished there was more. The let down for the meal was the Strudel we ordered for Dessert. Note to everyone, if you microwave pastry, as they admitted they did, it gets soggy. Not nice. The meal was better than average, but less than very good, so taking everything into consideration, that's why I called it average. I am sure that they could do so so much better."

Went to Camden Arms for lunch today: Friendly greeting, delicios meal Husband had carvery followed by Eton Mess and I had trout followed by Mango Cheesecake . Fast service although they were quite busy and very good value for the money

We use this pub often, so we haven’t been disappointed. The menu is vast in choice- but they always manage to pull it off, whatever we order. Staff are efficient friendly- and you can always get a good carvery there on a Sunday, if preferred.

Visited on a Friday night with husband and two teens. Burger, fish and chips and chicken/ribs combo was nice. I had the duck which was disappointing- swimming in thin orange sauce which was not nice. Was told that was how it was supposed to be. They did take it away and pour the sauce off but at £22 wasn’t great.

Thinking our faces are getting a bit familiar at this large village pub , even the young waitress was willing to go along with our teasing to a late comer in our group. Sunday carvery up to expectations, plenty of other choices if that’s not desired. Bit of a muddle around the bar to get drinks ordered, I think too many staff members there sometimes, but it was sorted before I died of thirst ! Recommend the chicken chorizo Kebabs

We went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch with 4 adults and 2 children (ages 4 and 6). The children requested apple juice, but were served in pint glasses full to the brim. The carvery food was disappointing - my beef was tough and the vegetables were either overcooked or had been sitting out for too long. The waitstaff were inattentive and unfriendly. We have dined here before and had a better experience, but I will not be returning. None of us finished our meals and we all left feeling disappointed.

I have visited this restaurant a few times for lunch and while I have always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. Every time, we have been seated at a table far away from other patrons, which makes for a lack of sociability. On our initial visit, we requested not to be seated near the door due to a draft, but instead we were placed in a secluded area. I have decided not to ask for a different table in the future, as I believe their customer service may make our situation even worse. Until they improve in this area, I will not be returning to dine at this establishment.

Decided to stay here after reading reviews and giving 4 stars.Didnt sound too bad reading reviews. But we where so wrong booked a deluxe double room it was NO WAY deluxe!Small room bed was not even a full size double shower was grungy if they redid sealant it might help dust on window sill standing lamp covered in dust and cobwebs inside and a giant spider nesting outside of it!Not enough loo paper no-one to ask for more if you have questions you need go back to bar no proper system for quing to check in just a free for all.The man checking people in was useless we had been standing waiting in line for about 15 mins and he by passed us and went to next couple be with you soon yeah hang on we...

I inquired about the Christmas Day menu and the price for a 2-year-old, only to be met with a response that none of the staff wanted to work on Christmas Day. I found this to be quite rude, considering I was simply asking about prices. During our meal, we found a long blonde hair in the kids' meal, hidden underneath the food. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he seemed skeptical and questioned us about it. Despite none of the food being consumed, he agreed to replace the meal. However, my son's pizza had a soapy taste and the carvery meat was tough and fatty, making it inedible without a steak knife. We were told to provide more evidence if we didn't want to pay for the u...

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"
