The Cardinals Hatt - Menu

The restaurant was fairly quiet, but it was during lunchtime. We ordered appetizers and dessert. The service was excellent and the food was very enjoyable.

I attend a monthly nurses forum that I host. The food is always delicious, freshly prepared, and offers a wide variety that we choose in advance. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is fantastic.

We went today for the carvery and had an excellent meal. Loads of meat and plenty of veg choice available,The staff were delightful and made this visit a lovely experience. Thank you and we will be back again in the very near future.

Do not waste your money on this restaurant. It is the worst place I have ever visited. The staff were rude and uninterested. Despite there being no other customers, the service was still terrible. The food was overpriced, bland, and tasteless.

We are local and we have been specifically enjoying the excellent carvery at the Cardinalls on a Sunday lunch time. I speak as I see but the establishment on a Sunday is extremely busy for all the right reasons and the food my wife and...I have experienced on the carvery has been very tasty, hot and the meat in a very generous quantity. Yesterday we quickly popped in for a sandwich and I can honestly say that the carvery sandwich does not disapoint. It was very quiet when we entered the restaurant, I joked to my husband and said we should leave now. I wish I took my own advise. The young lady that served us was polite as you would expect. Firstly they were stingy with the meat, the veg had been there a long time and the roast potatoes were anything but roasted. My husband who basically eats anything left the potatoes. The chips were the cheapest frozen chips that one could buy, the fish was of the frozen type, the batter wasnt very nice at all. On arrival there was plenty of space in the car park. Disabled access is good with a slope and handrail which was very welcome. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had booked the restaurant but it wasn’t very busy. There is a separate bar. Toilets...were clean and modern. Drinks were ordered and brought to us from the bar. The menu offers some nice choices and we chose Gammon steak, Scampi and chips, macaroni cheese with garlic bread and chilli cheese nachos. Food came quickly and service was friendly. Alkthough I have lived in Saltash many years I hadn't visited the Cardinals Hatt for a meal before. For a Christmas treat my sister in law and husband took us to this restaurant on Sunday the 8th December for a carvery lunch. Well what a...pleasant surprise, we don't usually like carverys but this was excellent, the best we have had. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, the staff pleasant and well turned out. We were promptly able to help ourselves to our meal, !st rule for me the plate has to be hot, tick.
