"We went to the ClockTower due to its unique location and viewpoints but really wish we hadn’t. When we first got there we asked if there was a table to which we were told there was not (completely understandable as we didn’t book). We were told we could sit at the bar and order drinks though. My girlfriend asked the waitress if there was a bar food menu or anything for something small and she was told they were serving Sushi so she asked for a menu. After about 10 minutes and watching the waitress serve others we flagged down another waitress who said she would get the menu. After time passed and no menu arrived we had to go to the bar and pick one up ourselves. The pool deck was not busy but after waiting an eternity for our order to be taken, the original waitress finally turned up to take the order. My girlfriend ordered sushi and tomato bread. Whilst she was half way through the meal the waitress come over and tried to take payment when she was half way through eating! The tomato bread was great but as she was eating the sushi she flipped it over and noticed a hair squashed into the bottom. I am never normally one to complain in the restaurant but as the service had been so bad upto now I made an exception. I went and grabbed the host I presumed it was a lady wearing a green dress. She took one look at it and walked away without saying anything. I sat there watching as she went on to serve other customers without a care. At this point I was quite annoyed so I went to the bar to complain. After a few minutes a man came over and asked what the problem was. I explained there was a hair in the food NOT belonging to us, and the fact I reported it to the hostess who literally walked off! He explained how she was going to get him, however 10 minutes had passed so it clearly wasn’t mentioned or important enough to be forgotten. He just paused and looked at me with a what do you want me to do about it expression. I repeated the problem to which he just rolled his eyes like he had somewhere better to be. I said to him if he doesn’t believe me and wants to accuse of lying he can check the cameras. He said to me he can’t prove if it come from us or the kitchen and. I really am not that hard up that I complain about €12 but it was the principle of the matter and the fact the service was extremely poor I wanted to push for a refund. Eventually he offered me drinks instead, hesitating. I said I wanted a refund out of principle. FINALLY we got a refund like I was putting them out. I would never leave a bad review if it was resolved with a refund but the fact they shrugged the issue out without a care it was extremely frustrating. Had anyone actually apologised rather than try and guilt us for speaking up I wouldn’t have bothered!"
