"Having checked out Trip Advisor, we thought we would give this place a go. It was my 50th birthday, so we decided to go out for breakfast. We're so glad we did choose this place. We got there just after 9.30am, so just after it...opened. The breakfast was massive, it very nearly cancelled our plans for eating in the evening. Two of us had the big breakfast and a coffee each for £20. I understand people need to keep their prices cheap to pull people in through the door, but I really don't know how they do what they did for this price, especially as 20% of that total is VAT. The staff were all very pleasant and polite. We're not local as such, but own a caravan a few miles away so will be using this establishment again. I really hope they keep busy, they deserve it!"

although this is not the same coffee bean found in the far east and the usa, it tries. service was fast, but the espressos during tasting ok, lack of taste.

popped in on Saturday 4th May 2019, me and the wife had the mushroom soup and a roll and a cuppa, whilst my son had a bacon sandwich. The staff were very friendly and polite. The cafe has customer toilets. View menu

The Coffee Bean had embraced lockdown/social distancing rules and did it well. The menu is basic but the big draws are their all day breakfast and daily roast dinners, both are good value. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Stopped here for breakfast on Thursday and the food was fantastic. Freshly cooked and clearly good quality. Received a very friendly welcome and amazing service. Went back on Friday en route to Newquay airport, again for breakfast and of course a “low fat” fruit...scone which was great! Will be back next time we’re down in Cornwall. Highly recommend to everyone! Thank you for the warm welcome

Myself and a friend popped in today as we both fancied a breakfast. I had the large, and my friend had the regular. The portion size is huge! My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly (tho that didn'tstop me from eating it all But...will say what great value they were. Really tasty too. Staff were really friendly, and we will definitely be back, and treat ourselves! Do not be tempted to go to Wetherspoons over the road. Help support local business such as this wonderful place. Saturday, the late morning visit. decided on the breakfast and ordered a small and a big one. the drinks came fast and the food didn't take long. was all freshly cooked and piping hot. the picture shows the BIG-Brekfast, which my partner tried to finish everything...was so delicious and so good for money. the menu is quite extensive and we will definitely try something else again soon. personal very friendly and immaculate clean place. only open up to 2 clock so they don't leave it too late.

we went with some friends to the breakfast in the coffee bean and we do as family our best to support small local and independent businesses. we are very happy. from the second they enter, they are warmly welcomed and all covid. related informations are clear with signage, etc. the range is designed so that the physical utilisation and the coworkers carry the ppe (visors.) we ordered a lot of breakfast regularly and large and these were delicious, plentiful and excellent worth. this is a fantastic caffe, and we will eat here definitiw again.

"We were staying in Porthleven, so booked Kota in advance, as we were aware of this interesting restaurant from previous holidays in Porthleven. We had the six-course dinner menu with the wine pairing, for which my food allergy was well catered for as most dishes were the same as my partner’s. The initial three “snacks” were a delight, as the flavours and textures made them delicious. The second course of BBQ leeks and mussels were an amazing combination of flavour and texture. The third course of beet curds, molasses, and chia seeds was a delightful combination, and I say this as someone who doesn’t really like beetroot. It made the beetroot the sweetest I have ever tasted without overpowering its flavour. The fourth course of brown crab sauce with the seabass was delicious. The fifth course of pork belly with accompaniments was superb. For dessert we had “Milk and Honey”, a white chocolate mousse, Porthleven honey, caramelised milk powder, and soda bread ice cream, which was a wonderful blend of flavours and textures. The wine pairings were very well matched to the dishes. I also appreciated the nicely laundered large linen napkins that we had. The restaurant had a nice ambience, with interesting subtle music which we enjoyed. Our waitresses were very friendly and informative, carefully explaining the dishes and the wines to us upon arrival. The service was excellent. We had a very enjoyable experience, and after this first visit will go back again when next in Porthleven."
