The Craven Heifer Inn

Well worth stopping for lunch on Sunday. Roast lunch delicious, tasty well cooked food, great basic ingredients. Couldn’t do better myself. Friendly, attentive service. Great kitchen expedition!

5 lads we stayed for 2 nights walking 3 peaks. Had a lovely meal each night looked after by the very good staff, had a granddaughter born while I was there so toasted the night away. Will definitely use again

The Inn in Ingleton serves the best Sunday dinner. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. I highly recommend trying the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I am looking forward to visiting again. View menu

The restaurant has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere with delicious food. My wife enjoyed the perfectly cooked sirloin steak while I opted for the steak and ale pie, which was absolutely delicious. It came with homemade chips and a delightful mix of vegetables. The service was good and the overall value was excellent.

We visited the Craven Heifer twice during our stay in Ingleton. We were welcomed warmly and the service was friendly and efficient. Our dog was made particularly welcome and given a bowl of water and a biscuit. We ordered the chicken burger and fish and chips and we enjoyed them. It’s a local amenity which deserves to do well.

We came in and we’re welcomed really nicely, then shown to a table for us all. Our drinks order was taken and brought promptly. The staff took our food order and helped organise food for our son who has many intolerances. I was really impressed and would recommend the minted lamb shank to anyone. It had been a while since we had dined at this restaurant, but we decided to book a table as we hadn't been since it underwent new ownership or renovations. The food was fantastic, all five of us left feeling very satisfied. The fish and chips were especially delicious, some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was impeccable and the prices were reasonable. The next day, we dined at Wheatsheaf and paid similar prices, but the food quality was much lower in comparison.

This is now our 4th stay with Lynn and her team in 3 years. We were greeted with the fantastic warm welcome that we have come to expect. Rooms are clean and airy. They are compact but have everything you need. I particularly like the fresh milk and water in the fridge. There are a good range of beers and gins served in the bar. We didn't eat there this time but I have no reason to believe that the food would be anything but excellent as it was during our previous 3 visits. Lynn must be doing a lot right to keep us coming back for more.

We came here for an evening meal whilst camping in ingleton. Two adults and a 3 year old. We were made to feel very welcome by the barmaid who showed us to our table. She took our order promptly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We had the steak and ale pie, bacon wrap and a kids lasagne. All food was piping hot and tasted delicious. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream I shared with my 3 year old was gorgeous!! Fairly priced for the quality of food and good portion sizes. The pub looks dated, but don't let that put you off.
