"I had the pleasure of dining at The Crofty for the first time since I was a child, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious - we tried prawns in ginger sauce, pork in apple cider, and Camembert with onion salsa for starters. The leek chicken pancake we both ordered was incredible, with huge pancakes smothered in a cheese sauce and served with peas, carrots, chips, and sauté potatoes. We even had enough to take some home! Despite the restaurant being busy when we arrived, our order was taken quickly and our starters arrived promptly. The young waitress was incredibly polite and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to come back, maybe next time to try the Sunday lunch. 10/10!"

Great hosputitable staff, we had the slow cooked lamb with honey and rosemary, absolutely gorgeous. No room for deserts, portions good size. Definitely recommend

We were just staying in the area for the week, but it Sounds like the long-standing manager has bought the pub from the new brewery and is making a real go at it improving the pub. Food homely with fresh vegetables. Give them...a try it might be worth it!

At last! After 65 years, I found a bread and butter pudding that's better than my own! The delicious Sunday roast was beautifully presented, accompanied by a heavenly bread and butter pudding, and served by attentive and knowledgeable staff. It was a fantastic dining experience. Thank you, Crofty. We can't wait to come back. Kaye.

To be honest we were a little put off by the outside appearance of the pub but having read a good review on Trip Advisor booked a table anyway. Thank goodness we did. We were given a nice table with our dog. The service was...excellent; such a lovely girl. My husband had slow cooked beef and I had belly pork. Both meals came with a choice of potatoes and vegetables. So delicious; easily the best meal of our trip to South Wales! And very good value!! View menu

Nice evening meal for a family of 4 with 2 kids plus dog. We were a bit doubtful as our holiday accom hosts said that some recent previous guests weren’t overly impressed and they suggested another local place instead. We ended up trying both and...preferred this one! Beef curry and slow roast lamb both a hit, as were the kids’ burgers, albeit with slightly excessive portions of chips. There was a nice comfy seating area near our table that looked inviting, although I think the coffee area could do with a facelift.

that was the best meal of our four nights break on the gower and we ate somewhere else every night. the food was prepared for a high standard. we recommend the slowly cooked lamb or bark dishes, which were well garnished. I rarely get through. three courses, but my wife helped me with the cheesecake! the final bill represented a good value and we would certainly recommend this place to people who visit the opposite. a traditional pub and restaurant, popular with locals. it was billard evening in the bar in the night in which we dimmed here, but we were well served in the restaurant.
