"Food absolutely lovely, can't fault that, but why the service charge, and not give you the chance to tip by choice ?... This is added on the bill but optional, I know that, and is in the small print along with allergy info. I would have left the same tip anyway. But 10% on the drinks, when we sat in the bar, and when the place is actually a pub. That's 45p on every pint and 64p on a glass of wine, for a total of about five steps from the bar to the table. But what grates me is the first round I ordered at the bar and carried it to the table myself, but was still charged for my own service. This spoilt the night and I wouldn't go there again just out of principle. So I recommend when you want a drink, go to the bar and pay there. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

I have a dietary restriction as a coeliac and I have always found exceptional choices and food at this restaurant. I never feel like my dietary needs are a burden. The price per person is £100+. I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips. View menu

The evening was superb in every way, with a fine dining experience that perfectly lived up to its reputation. Everyone in my group also shared the same sentiment! The parking was conveniently located behind the beautiful building and easily accessible. The food, service, and atmosphere all received top marks. I would highly recommend the Chunky Chips, Small Plates, Sorbet, Ham Hock Terrine with Poached Pears, and Caramelised Walnuts. There was plenty of parking available, with free parking options in the parking lot.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, there was plenty of parking available, and the front and back gardens with a nice canopy were lovely. The staff were friendly and made sure our table had a continuous flow of beer. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back. The pate was the tastiest and smoothest I've ever had. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30. Overall, we give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5. We highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips and Small Plates. There is also plenty of parking available.

"Visited here in Sept 23 for an executive dinner that we were hosting for various senior business leaders. We booked out the whole venue, which was the perfect size and atmosphere for the intimate and exclusive feel that we wanted, plus a convenient location. The TV that shows into the kitchen was fascinating, and the record player was put to use towards the end of the evening! Caroline from the venue helped us organise the event in advance and was great to deal with. We were fortunate with the weather so were able to enjoy a welcome drinks reception out the front of the venue, and have the door open all evening to let the balmy night in. We had the 7 course taster menu and it was simply OUTSTANDING so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, particularly the beef steak course! It was so tasty that I even enjoyed the fish dish (not usual for me! . Service on the night was exemplary, the courses were brought out at just the right intervals so you weren't waiting ages but also not being rushed. The chef came out to greet us after the final course, which was a lovely touch and meant we could thank him. Overall, we had really great feedback from our guests, everyone loved it thank you for making our event such a success! We would definitely book again, and I know a few of our guests have already recommended it to their own companies for executive dinners! Would not hesitate to recommend."
