"I was looking for somewhere for a traditional pub lunch. Googled local pubs and decided on The Crown Inn. Read all the reviews before going, there will always be negative ones for any place. Most were very good though. And now I 'll add mine. I found the prices very reasonable, so couldn 't understand the reviews saying it was expensive. The food itself was very good, and like some reviews, quite large portions . I had the beer battered fish and chips myself. Huge piece of fish, more than enough very nice, chips. I had mushy peas with mine, a good size portions of these on the plate, unlike some places that give you a spoonful in a tiny ramekin. These were also very good, friendly bar staff as well. I would recommend this pub. Hence 5* 's."

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and my partner really enjoyed the steak and ale pie.

The restaurant serves quality food all week, with live bands on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The staff is friendly - what more could you ask for?

The service was good seeing there was only 1 member of staff serving. The food was tasty and value for money. The female toilets were very good, clean with sanitary products available. The main bar was a little tired in its furniture and decor but did not affect our good experience .

We arrived at this pub to a nice welcome and the food was incredible! Very friendly with lots of locals. The fish tank is also amazingly well kept with some great and unusual tropical fish. The food portions were huge and the home made pie and whitebait were delicious. Highly recommended

We all had lovely food here. My wife had the Chicken, Bacon and leek pie with chips, my boy had a Cheese Burger and Chips. I had the Chicken Madras Reaper, Rice and a side of Chips. It lost a star as I had to send my curry back due to it being lukewarm. All in all good tasteful and plentiful food.

We have been to this pub multiple times and have never been disappointed with the service or food. The staff is helpful, the bar/eating area is clean, and there is a good variety on the menu. The restrooms are also very clean and nice, with a separate sink, mirror, and dryer in each cubicle. There are plenty of parking spaces available. The portions are hot and very generous.

My family and I (2 children and 2 dogs) came here yesterday for a few drinks and lunches. We were stranded by RAC for 11 hours. The staff here was absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful, a lady even offered to give us an elevator after her shift! Food was nice, so welcoming. We missed the live singer, but it looked like it was a great afternoon ahead. A must visit when you are in the area. X

Excuse the lady behind the bar for our friend who said something loud that eating is pricy! (our friend has no filter and often makes us to crash! we all ordered burger and chips for lunch. when it arrived, there was a beautiful fresh, interesting salat, good tidy burger, beautiful rolling and many beautiful, right chips and it was good to every penny worth. the staff was beautiful and brought us many sauces, and eating was great. many thanks for their hospitality and the guests' ales. a beautiful stop on the way to our girls waking away. many thanks.
