"Beautiful bar and great potential. However, bar staff were missing for 15 minutes to order a drink this was sitting in front of our restaurant 7:30. The restaurant has no ambience at all, the food is absolutely tiny and I ordered a takeaway when I came home. Quality is okay, but prices are crazy. Paid £98 for two courses and two drinks. My partner wanted a cocktail, asked for menu and they had no one. The waiter rolled out of a small list and they explained they were in a pitcher only, who ordered pitchers when leaving for a romantic meal? It was very obvious that the waiting staff also had no experience, and no one seemed to help them. I eat in a lot of good quality restaurants both cheap and expensive and it doesn't matter to pay for quality, but I'm worried when the quality is bad and the price is massively crowded. Unfortunately, we will never bring back great potential. Address the restaurant appearance ambience, poorly trained waiting staff, price, cocktail drinks menu and you will do very safe! We were offered 20% of the bill, based on a complaint to the waitress who was a nice gesture. This price was better suited, but I still keep it expensive."

"For Sunday dinner. Not too busy when we arrived, and there were many young people waiting for it, but they seemed more interested in chatting until they had to do with Diners. The manager was there, but that seemed to make no difference. It was finally served, but the waitress offered no smile or some kind of enthusiasm, had only a boring expression. Eat well, but not as good as a previous occasion. Beef was not so tender and not so much for the price. If we didn't ask if we wanted more drinks from our waitress, she cried over when my sons said that she didn't want another drink that she was throwing off without waiting for my husband and I needed one to defeat another waitress. Note other diners who need to ask for menus, etc., although many servers were around, they were just chatting. This is a beautiful place, but the experience on Sunday was not comparable to previous occasions. Will not rush back for a while, but there will probably be another way, but if it is quieter than the service and food seemed better at that time."

"by far the best pub I was, the meals are amazing and the staff are friendly and funny. I took a party of 13 here on Saturday night for a meal and after that everyone said thanks to me that they take it there, how they really eat that and the live band that was up."

"Went for a spa day I can honestly say I was disappointed. There were children in the pool area which made it noisy the opposite of relaxing. Too many people were let into the spa in my opinion as there were more people than loungers really over crowded. The fire ice experience was nice.. but again.. too many people so the steam rooms didn't have much steam as people were constantly in out. There was no music in the relaxation area our party was told the speakers were broken wouldn't be fixed until January. The treatment I had was really lovely, the only negative was that the speaker (that did work in the treatment room) was really crackly so the relaxing music was anything but relaxing. The toilet in the female changing area was disgusting.. looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. I asked for a replacement robe as I did not want to sit in a wet robe during the cream tea in the bar area but I was told I could not swap it for free... I would have to pay for it...! I have never known a spa not give you fresh towels or robes if you need them..! So sitting in a wet robe to eat lunch was not particularly comfortable. We had a specific time slot booked for the lunch so no opportunity to shower dry off beforehand. I don't think I would return here as it felt too commercial."
