"This was the best restaurant we visited during our trip to Northern Ireland. The food, service, and overall atmosphere were outstanding. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious. We indulged in BBQ wings drenched in sauce, a chicken and pulled pork burger, and seafood tagliatelle. Although I'm not a fan of mussels, I asked for them to be removed from my dish, and I was quickly offered a substitute fish. There was plenty of fish, and the sauce was delightful. The fresh chips and burger were devoured completely. We would have gladly returned every day if we had stayed longer. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed chatting with the friendly locals and looking at the amusing signs and decor around the bar. I believe there’s a larger dining area upstairs if needed. The company was wonderful, and the owner was cheerful and eager to assist us. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We’ll definitely be back next time to try the cheesecake and to have some fun with Jeff!"

"My partner and I popped into Whisk today for a light snack and a coffee... It was really lovely!!! I highly recommend a visit!!! The food is really lovely and the surroundings is so relaxing. It’s a real quirky little place to sit and relax. The staff are so friendly and helpful, overall it was a real treat! We will be back really soon folks and thank you for looking after us. "I visited this place on 1st June 2021 at 1 o'clock with my wife and kids, we entered and where seated at table 11, this is where it all went down hill, the table had food from a previous dinner smeared all over it, the chairs had food on them we had to wipe clean before seating. We ordered our meals and a jug of water, after 15 minutes the water and glasses arrived, absolutely filthy dirty, the cutlery then arrived which was so dirty I felt like walking out, I should have done this tbh. I ordered the skippers fry, I didn't receive this i recieved a small breakfast, 1 sausage instead of 2 1 bacon instead of 2 no black pudding at all, beans where ice cold, soda and potato bread tasted old and stale, kids meals where deep fried, chicken dry and tough, sausages had a horrible after taste like a sour taste. We only visited here as it had gotten decent reviews, the people of killeel must have pretty low standards, never again shall we return to this place."

"For my birthday, my lovely bride took me out to a new restaurant in the Kilkeel Golf Club...Hunters Moon. The Chef has a great reputation from a previous venue in Newcastle and delighted us with his prowess in the Kitchen. Although the menu is compact, it hits all the points that you could want. We started with the Salt and Chili squid and Duck Liver parfait, both were absolutely Spot On. We had a lovely Rioja with dinner that was reasonably priced and had a lovely luscious berry overtone. Our Mains were their 10 oz. dry aged steaks, cooked expertly to a very Med. Rare and accompanied with a Kale and swede side. Some of the best beef that we have had in Ireland. The meal was completed with a couple of panna cotta's that left no room to breathe, let alone...swallow another bite. This Meal should have been scored 5 stars, just because of the quality of the food and the lovely attentive service that we received from the two lovely young ladies that waited on us. The only point that needs improvement is the ambiance of the dining room. It is tired and in need of a little tender loving care. This by no means is the fault of the Chef or restaurant staff and should not prevent you from giving it a try. We know that we will frequent this restaurant...as it is both Fabulous and Affordable."
