"HOW HAS THIS PLACE GOT 4.4 ON ITS REVIEWS. I went here on Thursday evening to eat. You know eat!. The sign outside said that I was in luck because they were serving food. I ordered my Guinness to have while I thought about food. I asked for a menu and got this reply. We 're not doing food tonight . Ok but this was said with no explanation and no apology but also said in a way where I felt I should be replying oh yeah, of course. What was I thinking? . I left and went to a nearby pub and spent my money there. I spoke to a couple on the next table who said that they had been her a couple days before and when they asked about food they were told we 're only serving food for an hour today and it has ended . What is going on with this place. AVOID. THERE ARE BETTER PLACES NEARBY. Service: 1 Location: 5"

Lovely little local pub... Although we were slightly fooled when asked about eating as we're told to wait, however they had no chef Was a shame as seemed a lovely cornish pub

The barn room had a unique charm and was incredibly cozy. The food was delightful, and the hosts were very welcoming. We also enjoyed watching the sunset in the garden, which provided a stunning backdrop. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location all as 5 out of 5.

The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent (I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips and the full English breakfast in the morning), and it's very dog-friendly. The accommodations were comfortable and easy to locate, with ample parking available. The pub itself is charming, and the locals are very welcoming. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4, the service a 5, and the location a 5.

This is a beautiful and welcoming pub with a warm atmosphere, excellent staff, and great service. You can truly sense the history as soon as you walk through the door. I've visited twice over the past year while on a road trip, and it's always been a great experience. In the summer, you can enjoy sitting outside, while in the winter, there's a cozy log fire inside. It's also dog-friendly and very welcoming to visitors.

The restaurant offers a stunning view from the back, with both open and covered seating options. It’s dog-friendly both indoors and outdoors, creating a cozy atmosphere inside. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu was straightforward yet excellent, and the food presentation was delightful. There’s also a great selection of high-quality drinks that perfectly complement the gastronomy. I wish I had stayed longer instead of driving off!

Brian and Anna are the most welcoming and pleasant hosts you could prepare for. They have a beautiful establishment that is cared for with joy and pride. The gardens and views are spectacular, with plenty of space for all to enjoy and the inside offers comfort, warmth and the nostalgia of a genuine, original INN. I would say the are the best within the area with a The Watermill coming in a close second. Stay away from the Balnoon! We didn't eat here but the reviews of what we heard whilst within the establishment were all positive. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view
