"My partner and I visited on Saturday with December just after 7. When we went in there was already a table of 4 and a table of 3. On arriving we were told by the waitress that there was only one chef on and there would be a long wait for food. However we reckoned it shouldn't be too bad as there were only 7 others to feed. How wrong we were. It took over 40 minutes for a drinks order to be taken. We asked for some bread as we were starving. Starters took over an hour to arrive. Baked camembert was okay but seafood kebab had 2 of the tiniest prawns I have ever seen and the rest was just a few bits of fish. My partner asked for sauteed potatoes with his dish and boiled potatoes arrived. Waitress then tried to say they were sauteed ( she was English so there was no language misunderstanding ) Did eventually get some proper sauteed ones. My pig cheeks were tasty enough until I realised there were lumps of fat and grissle through the dish. There is nothing more disgusting then picking up what you think is a lump of meat to find it is just fat. When waitress asked how meal was I did mention all the fat which I left on the plate. She said she would tell chef however there was no comment or apology made about it. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. Lovely coffee and walnut ice cream and brownies. Bill then came and seemed very high. On checking we discovered 3 mistakes resulting in an overcharge of 31 euros. We were charged twice for desserts....my set meal of 3 courses charged extra for dessert and we were charged for a meal we did not have. The waitress was new but I'm afraid she was completely incompetent. Nice enough but no sense. Could not recommend to anyone. By the way we did not get out of restaurant till after 10 and there were no other customers the whole night. No excuse for chef not seeing me about the fat."

Was informed over the telephone of a large party of 16 arriving and so was given the option of arriving before them - a good idea! Good friendly service, tasty food and would definitely return. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for!

We booked our Valentines evening meal at the Fat Duck, our first meal there. There was only one person serving 9/10 tables, so this slowed the service down. The food was very good. A quiet location, ideal for English speakers. Unsure if we will return, but the food, as I say, was good.

This is a pleasant little restaurant where the husband is the chef and wife serves at table. The food is excellent and the price is most reasonable. The choice of wine is limited but good and cheap in price. We eat in a lot of mid day French restaurants and this is most certainly in the top three

Mushroom starter was tinned mushrooms! Baked Camembert was undercooked and tasteless. We did say we were in impressed with the starter then found we were also unimpressed with the main course. It looked fancy enough but was actually tasteless and not at all impressed. None of us will be visiting again. Very poor for the high price tag in comparison to some excellent French Restaurants locally.

Although around 30 diners is not usually called a busy crowd this little restaurant does not cope well with a full house. Service was terribly slow, and on occasion very unfriendly. Food came out on wooden platters with dirty t towels under plates, took over 2 hours to get main course, starter and entree were single platter finger foods and 3 out of the 6 main dishes were inedible as flavour awful. We did not stay for dessert as told would be over an hour wait. We later found our it was to be ice-cream! Although we have been when it's very quiet and a gentleman waiter and young girl waiter were on duty on those occasions and we're very nice and it was a pleasant experience. On this occasion...

Food was very well cooked and delicious. Restaurant is light, airy and simply furnished without clutter, with a lovely log burner in the corner.I make all my reviews based on the visit at that time and not past or future visits and that is why I can mention that during our visit of 14.02.2017, there was no sign of St Valentine in the restaurant, most unusual.I would recommend this restaurant to couples, families and for any celebration and I would like to visit again so I can try other items on the menu.As a born and bred girl from the West Midlands, my eyes lit up when I saw that the chef had created a Chicken and Black Pudding Terrine, however the overall flavour of black pudding seemed ab...
